  1. It was sad that John Garfield died so young. I enjoyed his movies especially Humoresque with Joan Crawford. Gentleman’s Agreement was a good role and movie as well. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE STATS AND INTERESTING INFORMATION ON HIS PERSONAL LIFE.

    1. Hey BERN1960…..thanks for the visit. Humoresque is one of the few Garfield movies that I have seen….but his performance is pretty intense in that one. Glad you enjoyed the stats on Garfield.

  2. Not a fan but I have seen some of his films, Body and Soul, Postman, Air Force, Hollywood Canteen and Destination Tokyo. Gentleman’s Agreement was a Best Picture Oscar Winner, It’s on my ‘to watch’ list. I didn’t know he died so young. Good work as always Bruce.

    1. Let’s see you are at 5 and I am at 4 Garfield movies…..I think Flora where ever she is would probably double our combined tally count…..Where are you Flora? You need to see Gentleman’s Agreement…..how can you ignore a Best Picture Oscar Winner? 39 years old is way too young……as always I appreciate the support

  3. Glad to see John Garfield getting some respect. He was a huge star and a bright bright star which sadly burned out way to quick.

    1. Hey Henry…..yep he was one the biggest and brightest stars from 1938-1951….I learned a ton of information on him while doing this page…thanks for stopping by.

  4. You failed to mention the problems he had during the McCarthy “Red Scare” era in the early 1950s that got him blacklisted. Easily my favourite Garfield movies are Postman Always Rings Twice, Body and Soul and Between Two Worlds. Nice job.

    1. Hey Corbbett T…..I generally stay away from the “bad stuff” from people’s lives….I would rather concentrate on the movies that he made…..that being said…..it is tragic how Garfield got treated back then. Thanks for checking out my newest page.
