Sad news. 51 years old. A stroke for chrissakes. RIP.
Have to confess I haven’t seen Boyz N the Hood, it wasn’t a genre I was into at that time. But I have seen Four Brothers, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Shaft and Abduction. 4 out of 9 films on the chart.
A nice tribute Bruce. Vote Up!
Hey Steve….sad news indeed. It is getting scary…guess in their early 1950s…having strokes and dying…first Luke Perry, now John Singleton. I turned 52 last month…scary stuff! I have actually seen 7 of his movies. Boyz N The Hood is his best movie…..though I liked Shaft and Four Brothers. Did not enjoy 2 Fast 2 Furious or Abduction. Abduction was supposed to be the movie that was going to make the Twilight actor a superstar…..that did not work out to the plan at all. Good feedback as always. RIP Mr. Singleton.
A ground breaking pioneer. Rest in Peace
I agree with you Ricardo. I actually read one article where Mr. Singleton was still alive. That article was on Yahoo….but has since been taken down. This is providing me a hope that maybe he can still overcome his recent stroke.
