    1. Hey bob cox….thanks for the thoughts on Jose Ferrer. I have not seen your favorite 10…Joan of Arc…..but have seen all of your other 10s….with Lawrence of Arabia and The Caine Mutiny being my 10s and favorites. As for Dune….that movie has grown in stature over the years….but I have never been a huge fan of it…..but maybe it is time to watch it again. Good stuff.

    1. Hey Dan.. Good trivia lists as always. Cool that you saw Debby Boone at a college show. She was a big star when I was growing up. As for Ferrer’s Oracle rating…much higher than I would have guessed. Seeing Max V.S. as his most frequent co-star…makes me think that one day I should do a page on Mr. Sydow. Second list is pretty impressive…especially with him not making many movies. Voyage of the Damned is a movie I want to see…..seems it has been mentioned many times here on UMR…one day I will check it out. Thanks again.

      1. I actually saw his ex-wife in concert (Rosemary) at a pre rock era 50’s show in Brooklyn way back say the early 80’s. She was joined by Kay Starr, Johnny Desmond and the Four Lads, 2 who appeared in their 20’s. I would say that they’re not originals.

  3. Another classic era star, hooray! As Steve said, this page comes out the same day he did a video on Stanley Kramer who directed Ship of Fools. Great timing.

I have seen 12 Jose Ferrer movies, 9 of which are in the top 10.

The HIGHEST rated movie I have seen is Lawrence of Arabia.

The highest rated movie I have NOT seen is Joan of Arc.

The LOWEST rated movie I have seen is The Swarm.

    Favourite Jose Ferrer Movies;

    Lawrence of Arabia
    The Caine Mutiny
    Ship of Fools
    Moulin Rouge
    Cyrano de Bergerac
    Miss Sadie Thompson
    Deep in My Heart

Other Jose Ferrer Movies I Have Seen:

    Return to Peyton Place
    The Greatest Story Ever Told
    Whirlpool
    Crisis
    The Swarm

    1. Hey Flora….glad you found our latest classic page….check another Oscar winner off our list of people to do UMR pages on. Tally count….you top me and Steve…congrats on that. As for Ship Of Fools being on my page and Steve’s video….great minds thinking alike! I have seen 4 of your 7 favorite Ferrer movies…..of the three missing….I think Moulin Rouge is the one I want to watch the most. Lawrence of Arabia and The Caine Mutiny would easily by my Top 2 Ferrer movies. And finally….sad to see you giving no love to the classic…The Swarm….especially with Sir Caine and Mr. Widmark in the movie. Good stuff as always.
