  1. Hi

Julianne is a fantastic actress, so varied in many roles. She was superb in Still Alice, although the film reminded me of a T.V. movie. But she has handled her career really well, going from support to lead roles, even appearing on T.V movies where she played Sarah Palin a couple of years ago. If that had of been an ordinary movie, she definitely would’ve been Oscar nominated.
I didn’t realise she had made so many films, I first remember her in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle in 1989 and then Shortcuts. She’s just built up her reputation as being consistently good and being in quality movies.

    1. Hey Chris…thanks for checking out my Julianne Moore page. I agree with you about Still Alice….it did seem like a tv movie. She has been making about 2 movies a year for almost 30 years now….seems like she is just getting going. The Hand That Rocks The Cradle is one of the few Moore movies that I have not seen. Thanks for the comment and the visit.

  2. I think the first time I saw Julianne Moore was in The Fugitive where she only had a brief supporting role, but she must have made an impact because a couple of years later she was Stallone’s leading lady in Assassins. And now she’s a highly respected Oscar-winning actress.

I’ve seen 23 of the 56 films listed on the page, I’ve seen the Moviescore no.1, Critics no.1 and Box Office no.1. Films I haven’t seen include The Hours, Far From Heaven and Still Alice. I’ve seen The Fugitive and The Lost World a number of times over the years. Boogie Nights was fun too, a chance to see Moore as a porn actress. And I’ve recently watched her play a major character in the last Hunger Games movie.

I didn’t know Moore was an author too, and she was classmates with Stallone, interesting. Excelnt work Bruce, voted up.

    1. Hey Steve…thanks for stopping by and commenting. I think The Fugitive is where I first noticed her too. Her part was bigger….she was written as a love interest possibility for Ford….but most of her parts were cut. I guess Ford did not have time to find his wife’s killer, avoid Tommy Lee Jones AND fall in love. My tally is at 43 of her 56 movies. I have not seen her latest yet. Actually on IMDb she has no movies in production…so it might be until 2017 that we see her in theaters again. That classmate fact was an error….it was actually a Goldie Hawn fact…..and somehow I missed seeing it on the page. Thanks for the vote up.

  3. I didn’t know Julianne Moore had so many movies! I guess she doesn’t have many starring roles…I’ve always seen her in supporting roles. Crazy Stupid Love is one of my favorites! And The Hunger Games, of course.

    1. Hey Katie….she seems to go back and forth when it comes to starring or supporting roles. Of her 5 Oscar nominations she has 3 for Best Actress and 2 for Best Supporting Actress. I liked her in Crazy Stupid Love too. I am looking forward to Hunger Games Part 4…thanks for stopping by and commenting.
