July 28th – Trivia Question That I Do Not Know The Answer – If There Is Even An Answer – Need Help

Last night I watched The Girl With All The Gifts.  In that one 6-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close gets eaten by a pack of zombies.  This made me ask….has an Oscar winner ever been eaten by zombies?

  1. Heston who was a oscar winner died after battling some zombie like creatures in one of his sci-fi flicks.

    1. Hey Dan…..that Heston movie was The Omega Man…but zombies do not get him …..or at least they don’t eat him in that one. He gets impaled on a gate….trying to get away from them. It was during Heston’s classic sci-fi run….The Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green and The Omega Man. Good answer though….thank you for the feedback.

  2. It must be getting close to Halloween. I put forth Dennis Hopper in Land of the Dead. Though I do confuse I am not sure if he gets eaten by zombies in that one.

    1. Hey SteinHOF…..good one. Well Hopper is a nominee……and he probaby got eaten by zombies in that one (I have not seen it either)….so good guess….but it looks like 6 time Oscar nominee is the zombie catch so far. As always thanks for the input.

  3. Interesting question. I like BBFQ and Pete came up with some other nominees that do battle with zombies, but none of them get eaten like Close did.

    1. Sorry I thought Price was a Acadamy Award nominee. He does die in Dead Heat which has zombies.

    2. Hey Mark. Thanks for your suggestions. I know Pitt and Jackson made it out alive in their zombie movies. As for Price in Dead Heat…..hmmmmm…..I actually saw that movie in theaters oh so many years ago….but barely remember it. I will have to do some research on that one.

      1. Hey Mark. Yep…Price was sadly never nominated for an Oscar. I did a wiki check on Dead Heat….and Price’s character does did in the movie….it just not say it was at the hand of zombies. I do not remember him going that way….but like I said I saw it once….in theaters almost 30 years ago…..and my memory is failing me when it comes to that movie.
