Hi Bruce, thanks for the comment, share and vote on my John Cassavetes video, it is appreciated. Your tally of 8 seen beats Flora’s and mine too. I haven’t seen any of Cassavetes directed films but I knew some of them were highly regarded among film buffs. The Dirty Dozen and Rosemary’s Baby are my two favorites here.
And thanks for the Ben Gazzara video share, appreciate the comment and vote. Your tally again beats mine and Flora’s. I haven’t seen Happiness but I’ve read about it, the subject is controversial and it’s supposed to be funny too. I recently bought a special edition blu-ray for The Big Lebowski. I know you’re not a fan. I think the movie grows on you the more times you see it. The Coens are an acquired taste, I wasn’t a fan of their last one Hail Caesar but I wouldn’t mind giving it another go. The actor who plays young Han Solo has a role in that, it’s how he got noticed for Solo.
On John C. – “A name I have known for years….but an actor I have not seen too many times. #28 Big Trouble….they were hoping for an In-Laws success…it did not happen #24 Tempest..saw it…did not like it….though Raul Julia was interesting in that one #17 Saddle The Wind…a good rarely talked about western #14 The Fury…saw this one with my dad #8 Gloria….not aged well #7 Whose Life is It Anyway?….this used to be one of my all-time favorite movies #2 Dirty Dozen…classic #1 Rosemary’s Baby….another classic. So that is 8 of his movies….actually a little higher tally than I expected. Voted up, shared and our UMR post of the day.”
On Ben G. – “Good actor….his career never took off like many had predicted after a great Broadway start. #28 Bloodline…saw it, but barely remember it…same goes for #27 Shadow Conspiracy. #21 They All Laughed…loved this one when I was a teenager….did not age well on an adult visit. #19 Road House….cult classic #16 Thomas Crown Affair…almost a cameo role #13 Bridge at Remagen…decent war movie…he probably has best part in movie #11 Saint Jack…this one got him some Oscar buzz #9 Spanish Prisoner…not a favorite #4 Happiness….good but weird depresing movie #2 Big L…..not on the bandwagon on this movie #1 Anatomy of a Murder….classic. So that is 11 of his movies seen. Voted up and shared.”
