Impossible to choose. It’s a remarkable catalog
I agree100% with you Dan. RIP
I found out that Kirk Douglas had died on Facebook. It is big news in my Classic Film Noir 1940-1958 group. I love Douglas and had been dreading this. Rest in peace
Hey Flora…even though he was 103….the news of his passing still hits hard. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Kirk Douglas. Sad sad day.
Another time I have found out someone has passed from this site, and such a big star. He was 103 and his wife Anne will be 101 in April. His first wife, Diana, Michael’s mother, lived to 92. I think the only other celebrity couple that both made it to 100 was Bob Hope (100) and his wife Dolores (102).
Heiy Dan. Sorry we were the bearer of the bad news. Good information on the couples that reached 100. RIP Kirk Douglas.
Oft, in the stilly night
Ere Slumber’s chain has bound me
Fond Memory brings the light
Of other days around me
The smiles, the tears
Of boyhood’s years
The words of love then spoken
The eyes that shone
Now dimm’d and gone
The cheerful hearts now broken
When I remember all
The friends, so link’d together
I’ve seen around me fall
Like leaves in wintry weather
I feel like one
Who treads alone
Some banquet-hall deserted
Whose lights are fled
Whose garlands dead
And all but he departed
Thus, in the stilly night
Ere Slumber’s chain hath bound me
Sad Memory brings the light
Of other days around me [By Thomas Moore]
