Kurt Russell (1951-) started in the entertainment business in the early 1960s. Starting out in television, he spent his youth making movies with people like Elvis Presley in It Happened At The World’s Fair and James Stewart in Fools’ Parade. Seeing the talent Russell had, Walt Disney signed him to a 10 year contract with Disney and he became one of the top stars for Disney in the 1970s.  After 18 years of acting Kurt Russell left Hollywood and became a professional baseball player. He signed with California Angels and made it to their Double A team before an injury ended his career. At this point he returned to his acting career.

  1. You know I’ve already forgotten who we last wished happy birthday to and it was only a few days ago. It would be nice if the birthday boy was actually reading these birthday wishes otherwise it’s all pretty pointless, no? [cue loud murmuring] 🙂

    1. Hey Steve….March is the birth month of 4 of my favorite actors……Michael Caine (the birthday boy you have forgotten), Kurt (today’s birthday boy), Bruce Willis (Monday’s birthday boy) and James Caan (you get a small break of sharing birthday wishes….as he is a March 26th baby).

Other important March highlights…..UMR was born on March 9th…..we got those birthday wishes….SoC1 (Son of Cogerson 1) was born on March 10th……as was Cogerson (no birthday wishes….it was a sad day….sniff sniff) and DoC1 (Daughter of Cogerson 1) was born on March 11th. In other words all the great things in life we born in this month…lol.

1 All my substantive posts keep disappearing as soon as I quit the page concerned so it’s becoming so frustrating that I think I’ll give it a rest for a while.

2.. One of the “disappeared” is a post I’ve just sent you about your excellent Candice Bergen video so if it turns up in the meantime please let me know as the Spammers if it is THEM seem to be targeting me. Perhaps they fear my honest, impartial and objective observations! [Some of the shorter ones containing little of artistic note seem to go through].

    1. Bob, your post did turn up eventually I’ve just replied to it. Not sure why your posts are disappearing. You’re not using bad language or linking anything.

It could be because you’re using too many different aliases in bold lettering which might be confusing Bruce’s spam filters.

      1. Hey Steve…..I thought you might be on to something…..but….then your third comment went to the “approval folder”……wait a minute….last night….my third comment went to the approval folder”…..maybe that is what it is…..but the reality is…..I have no idea what is going on with the comment folder….but we will continue to look.

  3. Happy Birthday Kurt Russell…..this page now includes 50 Kurt Russell Trailers….new photos…..and some adjusted worldwide box office grosses.

And even better……it is on a “new” post…..so I guess our 5 day restriction has been lifted. UMR is back in business!
