Liza did not appear in King of Comedy. She was seen as a cardboard cut-out!
Hey Anonymous…I agree she was not in King of Comedy….she does make the credits…..as she got a “credit role”….maybe that is for the cardboard cut out. Thanks for stopping by.
Hello,
I saw 6 or 7 because not sure for one, but first of all in France she became famous by shows at Olympia which is a famous Music Hall she performed with great success at the end of 60 and the beginning of 70
The first film which get a critic success but not public was Junie Moon by Preminger and of course after Cabaret in 1972 was a great public and critic success.
But i have to confess that my favorite film is Rent a Cop and i am very shamed to read that it is the last films of the list , i remembered it like a funny movie with her and Reynolds and i saw it three time and it works with me every time.
Good day
Pierre
Hey Pierre. Thanks for the info on Liza’s singing success at the Olympia…. new stuff to hear. Cabaret is easily the highlight of her movie career. As for Rent A Cop…. pretty sure my liked that one too….so you are not alone. Everybody has movies like that….Blue City with Judd Nelson comes to my mind. That is also very lowly rated by UMR, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Ms. Minnelli.
I saw 6 including top 4 and bottom 2. cabaret a ten not a favourite. no hidden gems. on letterboxed she is listed as playing herself in king of comedy , probably a cameo I don’t remember. she is also listed in Christmas from Hollywood notable for top billing Schwarzenegger and second bill Heston. on UMR chart she got credit for her nomination but sterile cuckoo did not list its 2 nominations.
Hey bob cox. She is listed as a cameo in King of Comedy. I just re-watched that movie and I do not remember seeing her….so I feel good about not including that one. As for Christmas in Hollywood…it was a documentary that never went to theaters….but it is loaded with stars. Arthur is the movie that be re-watched the most….in my opinion. Your tally of 6, tops everybody. Good stuff.
