  1. Bruce, my post for your 1963 page did not make the journey to UMR land. Luckily I have a copy of it here. If it doesn’t turn up later I’ll try posting it again.

Now I know what Bob was going thru with his missing posts.

  2. HI BRUCE

Good point about Sir Maurice and longevity.. I often concluded that there was even a rule of thumb in Hollywood that if you sank once but survived and surfaced again you were fireproof in future. For example after From Here to Eternity nobody seemed to care if a Sinatra film bombed and the same with Mr Mumbles following Godpop and Last Tango. The failure of Missouri Breaks didn’t harm Mr M a bit as witnessed by the big fee dished out for Superman 1978

  3. My comment on Steve’s page.

One of my crushes while growing up. #22 Stick….not a bad Burt movie #21 Bride Wars….good cast…ok movie #19 The Magus…one confusing movie…Sir Michael Caine still has no idea what the movie was about #17 Sweet Home Alabama…good supporting role for Candice #16 The Women….ok remake #15 The In-Laws – pretty bad remake #13 Getting Straight…very dated…watched it for the small Harrison Ford role #11 Sex and the City….hit but forgettable #10 Miss Congeniality- liked Caine’s role in this one #8 Starting Over…one of Burt’s better roles #6 Bite The Bullet…fun movie #4 Carnal Knowledge..well done movie with good performances…but not a movie I want to watch again #3 Wind and the Lion….good adventure movie #2 The Sand Peebles…McQueen’s only Oscar nominated role #1 Gandhi….classic…but not one that begs to be re-watched. So that is 15 Bergen movies watched. Voted up and shared….good job.”

1 Once again I laud your generosity in publicising Steve’s videos. At least you and I can agree on one thing – that they are a worthy cause.

2 You beat me hands down in the number of Bergen films you’ve seen. It occurs to me though that it’s a good thing Miss Congeniality was a box office hit or else that agent of Sandra’s would be hanging Sir Maurice out to dry!

      1. Hey Bob…..so this comment went through…but the three this morning did not…..it does not make any sense at all.

Very limited time today….so I had to go the Lensman well for the post. I used to have such a crush on Bergen back in the day…..so I still have fond memories of her.

Sir Maurice has been around so long…..seems even Bullock’s agent would not be able to attach bad stuff to him.

        Good feedback as always.
