- Sort Margot Robbie movies by co-stars of her movies and the trailers for her movies
- Sort Margot Robbie movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
- Sort Margot Robbie movies by yearly domestic box office rank
- Sort Margot Robbie movies by how they were received by critics and audiences. 60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
- Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and Oscar® wins each Margot Robbie movie received.
- Sort Margot Robbie movies by Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) Score. UMR puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.

HI BOB COX
I agree with a lot of your comments and have been previously critical on this site of certain action heroes and their movies and of people “famous for being famous”
Generally speaking, Bruce’s criteria for his selections/rankings etc has always struck be as very carefully researched, considered and crafted and on only one or two occasions have I disagreed with him, though NEVER with his facts but with their interpretation, the most notable example being with regard to Myrna Loy’s “hype” as box office Queen, though even there our disagreement was simply about degree as Loy was undoubtedly very popular and successful and I greatly admire her persoality and career.
Hey Bob…..good comment…thanks for the kind words. Lots of factors go into the decision for which person or subject will get a new page. Sometimes, having all the movies researched moves that person to the front of the UMR line.
HI BRUCE
Thanks for feedback. Although I feel Margot is not quite there yet I cannot quarrel with your assessment that she could be here to stay and maybe someday I’ll be able to recognise her as “Cogerson Gold”
Brando is one of those stars about whom there has been so much hype [“rubbish” one columnist called it] that there is usually a Brando story that enables one to use it to make comparisons and emphasise a point. Here of course I was trying to illustrate that whilst the importance of many performers is overstated insiders like the Salkinds know who the real superstars are. Of course once you start talking about the likes of John Ford and Hawks the Wayne anecdotes abound. Aren’t I lucky that both those actors are faves of mine!
There seem to be relatively fewer true women superstars about today than in the classic era and many females regarded as stars would in my opinion have been regarded as just starlets in the Davis/Crawford era for example.
Margot in her short career has appeared with thye following actors on the 2016 Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list. She herself is not on nor has she appeared yet with anyone who has fallen off the list.

What is Watching, Waiting with 3 Oscar winners. She has also not appeared with any Oscar winner whose first name begins from N to Z?
Hey Dan
1. Watching, Waiting is a behind the scenes documentary on fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh’s shoot for the February 2016 W Magazine’s annual “Best Performances” portfolio…it currently has a not so stellar 2.8 IMdb rating….lots of stars listed in the credits..but it looks like it is only quick glimpses of them.
2. I think she will quickly make the Top 1000…..with 8 movies in different stages of production with many being high end movies…..with Suicide Squad and Quentin T’s latest being on that list.
3. 12 Oscar winners is pretty stout for such a short career….I imagine….Caine’s Oscar winner totals movies up with that movie as well….as Vikander and Larson were not among his winners (I think).
4. Domhnall Gleason is not on the Bacon list…but he has to be her most frequent co-star…as he was in 3 of the movies listed in the table….not to mention he is also in Watching, Waiting.
Good stuff as always.
dan, great job. fascinating to see these lists develop. thanks
Bob might have a point, it may be too early for a Margot Robbie page and there are only 11 films on the chart so far. But you could call it a work in progress since unlike my videos you can keep adding titles to the chart as new films get released.
Margot’s a very pretty girl. I’ve seen just 5 of the 11 films on the chart, they are Wolf of Wall Street, Tarzan, Suicide Squad, Focus and Z for Zachariah. The best film here is easily Scorsese’s manic Wolf of Wall Street.
I’m interested in seeing Terminal and her Oscar nominated turn in I, Tonya.
Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up.
Hey Steve
1. I agree her career only has a few movies….but she is currently smoking hot (career wise)…and this 11 will quickly be in the 20s soon…..as she is a very busy actress.
2. The small of amount of films was actually one of the reasons she got a UMR page….I actually talked Katie into doing much of the page….gotta get one of these kids ready to take over UMR one day…lol.
3. I have seen 9 of the 11 movies….only her two 2018 movies have escaped me….Peter Rabbit and Terminal…..Terminal could either be surprisingly good or horribly bad.
4. She is excellent in I, Tonya…..in many ways it reminded me of Charlize Theron’s Oscar winning performance in Monster….as a very pretty actress completely disappears into a role that shows the ugliness of people….granted Robbie’s true life person was nowhere as evil as Theron’s one.
Good stuff as always.
“I guess gods come very cheaply these days.” {Barbara Hershey, Best Shot aka Hoosiers]
“Famous for being famous” Is an expression we hear more often nowadays. Near the end of her own days Bette Davis opined that the modern cinema excessively hyped as stars actresses who would have not made the cut in Bette’s heyday as they didn’t seem to be able to open anything like a serious run of movies at the box office.
Sharon Stone always strikes me as having been one of those as she was not very much more that a one-hit wonder. The hype was not sufficient to carry her for more than a few years however and the last commercial hit she had was 20 years ago and even then was just a voice role in the animated Antz.
I can not recall a Cogerson new page that I have not welcomed for one reason or another, but in my opinion it’s maybe a bit premature to give Margo Robbie the Cogerson treatment. She has starred in just around a dozen movies and the last two in which she actually APPEARED [which was in 2017] performed abysmally at the box office as demonstrated above, though I Tonya had such a small budget that it probably made a modest profit. [The ACTUAL unadjusted figures for it are Budget $11 million, Worldwide take $47 ] million. Therefore though she was Oscar and Golden Globe nominated for I Tonya she has not yet proven that she can open a film despite being around for approx10 years in movies
However the Cogerson site is nothing if not topical and in that respect I see that –bizarrely to me – Robbie has been listed by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people around at the moment worldwide. However “famous for being famous” and can’t knock that list too much anyway as my own sporting idol Roger Federer is also on it and in fact has been given a Time cover and an accompanying forward by Bill Gates.
Maybe therefore there is a case for keeping away from material about more-established performers separate sections/lists acknowledging the achievements of relative newcomers or at least those who have demonstrated great box office clout in even the short term. In the sitcom Frasier he and his brother Niles are members of a prestigious Seattle club but have access to just its Silver Room and long for promotion to the Gold Room. So how about a self-contained Cogerson Silver section from which performers could come into into Cogerson Gold once they had proven their worth over a reasonable length of time and/or as big box office stars ?
INTERVIEWER TO ALEXANDER SALKIND Why pay Brando such a large fee for just 15 minutes work in your Superman movie?
SALKIND A guy in tights flying about. It’s a risky project with modern audiences and we needed a superstar to help sell it.
INTERVIEWER But there are many superstars around today.
SALKIND OK then. So he’s a SUPER superstar and you don’t get too many of those
Hey Bob…..Thanks for checking out our Margot Robbie page. So she is “one of the 100 most influential people around at the moment worldwide”. I guess the power of her DC character is much more impressive than I thought….though I can say…..there were lots of Harley Quinns this past Halloween. I think I, Tonya was a box office success……it was an Oscar bait movie…..and it performed in the same area as Three Billboards, Shape of Water, Call Me By Your Name and previous winners like Moonlight. Those movies are not designed for the mass movie audiences that want dinosaurs in a mansion….lol.
I think Margot Robbie is here to stay…..so even though her total movies is small…I think in the next few years her movie count will be right there with Jennifer Lawrence and Hilary Swank. I can see her following the path of Kim Basinger….who does not have an UMR page.
Good stuff on Brando…..it is always amazing to me how there is always a Brando connection. Thanks for the feedback.
great comments. I saw zero. it is so hard for young actresses to get enough experience to become great. I respect bruce’s insight and his having seen so many of her movies, maybe she can act. the public has a voracious appetite for all things new. I very much understand bruce’s desire for umr to be “relevant” to the young crowd.
I fear that super hero movies(biceps and six pack abs even for females) , special effects and anime(voice only) are severely retarding our ability to determine if great acting ability is developing before the age of 40. what measures greatness? Oscar notice, box office, reviews, or headlines(famous for being famous)? that’s why I love UMR, it tries to include all these measures .I hope Bruce can stick primarily with young Oscar nominees and winners as they are already meeting that criteria to a small degree. the “Oscar bait movie” vs the FX huge budget star vehicle. sounds like brando vs Heston. both greatly entertaining. I hope the industry can keep getting great acting and great entertainment from its “stars”.
