  2. I have seen 3 Marsha Mason movies. Only one is a favourite of mine: The Cheap Detective.

The other two I have seen are The Goodbye Girl and Blume in Love.

  3. I have seen 3 Marsha Mason films – Goodbye Girl, Nick of Time and Stella.

Although her film output has been relatively modest she has operated alongside it prolific television and stage acting careers. She has also directed for television

Overall IMDB credits her with 4 acting awards and 11 noms and her net worth is said to be $12 million

    1. Hey Bob….thanks for checking out our Marsha Mason page. Some weird trivia….this is now our 6th UMR page to feature somebody born on April 3rd. She joins Doris Day, Marlon Brando (a little known actor), Alec Baldwin, Eddie Murphy (former box office champion) and Ben Mendelsohn (current go to villain). Add in the fact that WoC is also born on April 3rd. She has all of these stars…I have Chuck Norris…it does not seem fair….lol.

So you have only seen three of her movies. Surprised you have not seen I Love Trouble…granted that was one of the few misfires for Julia Roberts’ early career. She and Nolte did not get along at all during that production. I have seen 7 of her movies. Cinderella Liberty is my favorite..granted…parts of that movie were filmed around here. ….plus one of two of her movies with James Caan (another of my favorite actors). Good information on Ms. Mason….and good feedback as always.

      1. HI BRUCE

Thanks for the feedback despite the “little known actor” crack.

I love Trouble never appealed to me from what I read about it. As a devoted follower of The Master I don’t watch just ANYTHING no matter who the stars are and I like Nick as well as idolising Julia.

        1. Hey Bob…probably a good rule to follow….if I followed that rule….and would not have had to sit through so many bad direct to DVD low budget Bruce Willis movies…..lol.

          1. HI BRUCE

Funny you should make that point because I have recorded Brucie’s 2018 Reprisal for viewing over the weekend.

IMDB gives it just a 47% rating but I still think I’ll look in on it because as you know Mr Moore is one of the few action heroes I like though I see that Demi’s wimp gets just 2nd billing on the posters.

Have a good weekend and take care.

  4. “Neil Simon has been both a blessing and a liability to Marsha Mason. He wrote tailor-made vehicles for her, which guaranteed stardom, but most of them emphasized a sniveling helplessness that detracted from her sexuality.” – Rating The Movie Stars book (1983)

Their 4 Star Marsha Mason Movie Performances
    1973’s Cinderella Liberty
    1981’s Only When I Laugh

    1. Always happy to include the thought of Joel and his editors of Rating The Movie Stars book. Surprised they only gave her 2 Four Star Performance Ratings.
