  1. It’s wonderful to see a young star living up to his promising start. Thanks for another thoughtful look at the movies!

    1. Hey RedElf….thanks for stopping by and commenting. Matt Damon has put together a pretty impressive career and he is still a pretty young guy….I think he is this generations Gene Hackman….which I think is a pretty good compliment.

  2. My favorites are The Talented Mr. Ripley and Good Will Hunting. I just saw the Adjustment Bureau but can’t say it rated all that high with me; it’s really the same old formula boy meets girl, boy loses girl, overcomes all obstacles… blah, blah! Yes it has a new sci-fi twist, but it’s so trite in all the important ways. I do think highly of Damon’s skills and look forward to seeing more of his work.

    1. Hey Immartin….well the two you liked…Good Will Hunting and Mr. Ripley did well on the final list….1st and 9th. I am right there with you about The Adjustment Bureau, it felt like I had seen the movie before….a combination of Dark City, Matrix and any romantic comedy where the hero gets the girl at the end.

  3. I like Matt Damon as an actor and a person. I like how honest he is about his life in the spotlight and his approach to acting. His latest movies haven’t really intrigued me but I’m hoping for something new and different soon. Great movie page

    1. Hey Alecia….I am not a huge Matt Damon fan, but he has some movies that I have really enjoyed.
Thanks for checking out my Damon facelift.

  4. Just to show Steve I can write a short response on one of your hubs even when I’ve seen some of the actor’s films and want to see more…

I have seen The Talented Mr. Ripley, the first two Bourne Films (-still not seen the third,) and Good will Hunting.

Besides The Bourne Ultimatum I want to see The Good Shepard and The Informant.

    1. Hey Flora…I prefer the longer comments….lol. Knowing how much you prefer the older movies…I am surprised you have seen 4 of his movies already…and have a list of ones you want to watch. The Good Shepard is a very good movie…and I hear they are going to be making a sequel to it as well….Thanks for your comment.

      1. if he hadn’t made suspense films, I wouldn’t have seen so many. but I read Robert ludlum and Patricia Highsmith.

        1. Hey Flora….I think he has more suspense films coming your way…he is a very busy actor…he already has had three movies this year…and still two more coming. Thanks for the update.

  5. I like the fact that you have the three Bourne movies in your top 8, but I think they should all be in the Top 5. True Grit and Saving Private Ryan are great movies, but Damon’s role is not the biggest, especially in Saving Private Ryan. Give Bourne his due.

    1. Sorry Bourne Maniac….I think his Top 10 is pretty stout. True about his role in Saving Private Ryan….but without his Private Ryan there would be no movie.
