  1. I saw 16 including 8 of top 10. 10s and favorites ferris bueller, glory. 9 not a favorite: lion king, addicted to love( a hidden gem).

  2. Bueller… Bueller… Bueller…

More films than I was expecting on Matthews chart, he has been a busy boy… weird I still think of him as young rather than middle aged, probably because I haven’t seen him in any recent films.

Favorites are – Ferris Buellers Day Off, Wargames, Glory, The Lion King, Godzilla, The Freshman and Ladyhawke.

I saw Ferris Bueller and Wargames many times on video tape back in the 80s and 90s.

Top rated films I haven’t seen are Election and Torch Song Trilogy.

I still haven’t watched The Producers remake and it’s in my collection. I’ve seen the Mel Brooks classic a bunch of times.

The 1998 Godzilla is last on the chart with 3.3, ouch! It wasn’t that bad IMO, at least you could see the monster in that version, in the 2014 edition it was so dark you could barely see what was going on, plus the idiot director kept cutting away from the monster fights. FWIW Godzilla 1998 scored 5.2 on my chart. Not great but not terrible either.

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve. Thanks for the movie thoughts on Matthew Broderick. As for Godzilla’s low review score….it is in some lists as one of the worst movies ever made. It’s box office still got it a decent UMR Score. I know what you mean about thinking he is still young. The Broderick movies are all in a 10 year span…..Max Dugan to The Lion King (1994)….after that he pretty much went from teenager to middle age man in movies….and he has now been in those roles for over 25 years. Not thinking there is a single movie in those last 25 years that I love. Give me Ferris, Glory, WarGames and The Lion King. I actually saw The Lion King in an off Broadway play on Saturday….at one point I thought…”I should do a page on Broderick”….and now we have a Broderick page. Good stuff….thanks for stopping by.
