Matthew McConaughey Movies

Want to know the best Matthew McConaughey movies?  How about the worst Matthew McConaughey movies?  Curious about Matthew McConaughey’s box office grosses or which Matthew McConaughey movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Matthew McConaughey movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences? Well you have come to the right place …. because we have all of that information.

As I was working on my latest page, Best Movies of 1946 and I got into a conversation about my latest page subject with one of my children (my 21 year old daughter). When I told her my latest subject, I could tell she had no interest what so ever in movies made 48 years before she was born. So figuring she has to represent a decent percentage of my readers, I figured I would publish a current page to go with my 1946 page. So I grabbed my handy dandy movie notebook and checked out some of my requests over the last 9 months. So the winner from the requests was Mr. Matthew McConaughey.

Matthew McConaughey (1969-) is an American actor who began his acting career in 1991. After appearing in supporting roles in movies like 1993’s Dazed and Confused, 1994’s Angels in the Outfield and 1996’s Lone Star, he got his first big break by getting the lead role in 1996’s A Time To Kill. Since the success of A Time To Kill, McConaughey has become one of the more recognizable leading men working in movies today. He has appeared in romantic comedies, action films, Oscar® winning dramas and even some horror films.   Our personal Top 3 McConaughey movies are Reign of Fire (2002), We Are Marshall (2006) and Interstellar (2014).

  1. Mckbirdbks-I will have to look for that. I have Sophia loren’s cookbook. And just ignore my rants as my blowing off steam to make me feel better. I just managed to screw up by getting confused where I was posting my rant. my family is basically in a waiting game for when Grandma dies and it is taking a lot out of us so that we are all tired and then I get on the hub and I feel like I can’t escape the references to age. Ergo, the rant.

    1. Hey Flora….sorry to hear about your Grandmother..hopefully things will get better.

Well you might be running out of my classic hubs…but do not worry…my mother and mother-in-law were over the house this weekend…and they made a ton of suggestions…as well as complaining that I do not have enough women actress hubs….some of their suggestions…Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor, Maureen O’Hara, Susan Hayward, Joan Crawford, Oliva de Havilland and her sister Joan Fontaine…do you know that both Oliva and Joan are still around and in their 90s?

  2. Flora as a follow up, tht title is “Newman’s Own Cookbook”, 1985, 🙂 try the Guacamole, pg 18. I hope everyone is curled up watching old movies.

Corgerson she completely floored me. I was speechless.

    1. Hey Mentalist Acer….thanks for checking out my M.M. page…you have to give the guy some credit…he has been starring in movies for almost 20 years now….and they are usually high budget movies. I thought he was great in Tropic Thunder….he took over for Owen Wilson in that role….thanks the comments they are always greatly appreciated.

  3. I remember Mathew More For Playing Loud Music While Playing Bongos In The Nude And Smoking Pot…They Say Keanu Reeves Has A Singular Acting Style,But Nothing Compared To Matthew.;)

    1. Hey Mckbirdbks….thanks for the name of the cookbook and thanks for making Flora feel a little better.

  4. Mckbirdbks-no, It is not you who offended me. I am tired of being made to feel old for being interested in earlier generations and one hubber in particular is doing it even though she is old enough to be my mother. Well, I see I left my rant on the wrong pages. This was meant to be left on the 1946 hub not the Matthew hub-though my opinion is the same. I don’t read pages about actors I don’t know or like. If I hadn’t seen Mathew’s film’s I wouldn’t have commented on this hub. I don’t go on hubs of actors or writers I don’t like as I do not want to read about them.

    1. Hey Flora any rant you want to make…you can use any of my pages…lol. As always your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

  5. Sunshine625 I can top your story. My oldest daughter who at the time was in her late teens did not know who John Wayne was. I took it as a lack of proper training on my part. Have a good evening.

Flora I cannot tell by your comment if I have offended you. I hope not. Mr. Newman may also wish to be remembered as a race car driver, or author with his wife of a cookbook.

    1. Hey Mckbirdbks…I love the part of your comment that “I took it as a lack of proper training on my part”. I feel the same way when it comes to my kids. I feel I have done a great job with the three older ones…the fourth kid has no interest in movies at all….which leaves me my 5 and 2 year old….and I will be working on their movie education very soon…as matter of fact the five year old watched about half of Father Goose starring Cary Grant yesterday..let the fun begin.
