May 19th – Dumb Ideas

I was reading Well, Duh! by Bob Fenster when I discovered a section for a dumb idea about movies.  They suggested having a theater that had a split screen, and show two different movies at once. If you got bored with one movie, just watch the other movie.  Then they offered up some movie combos.  Movies like Gone With The Wind and The Lion, and The Man Who Would Be King Kong.  That got me to thinking…..what would be other options?  Here are some I came up with using two movies by the same actor or actress.

  • Tango and Cash Escape From New York – starring Kurt Russell
  •  It Happened To Jane in The Tunnel Of Love – starring Doris Day
  • One Hundred Men And A Girl Can’t Help Singing – starring DeannaD
  • Glass Bandits – starring Bruce Willis
  • Two-Minute Warning Earthquake – Chuck Heston
  • The Fisher King Hook – Robin Williams
  • Marooned On The Beach – Greg Peck
  • Against All Odds Two Rode Together – Richard Widmark
  • Room For One More Suspicion – Cary Grant
  • The Quiet American is Dressed To Kill – Michael Caine
  • Burn The Formula – Marlon Brando
  • Sully is Saving Mr. Banks – Tom Hanks
  • What Lies Beneath Air Force One – Harrison Ford
  • Bringing Up Baby Without Love – Katharine Hepburn
  • The Other Guys Get Smart – Dwayne Johnson

    1. Hey Tanner….a double feature starring Ben Stiller….I like it. Thanks for sharing your movie.

  2. Dumb but fun. Had to come up with a movie for one of my favorites. The Accountant is Dazed And Confused.

    1. Hey Taylor. Thanks for the Ben Affleck double feature. So you are a big Affleck fan? Not sure I knew that. Thanks for sharing that as well.

  3. My favorites would be Tango and Cash Escape From New York, Room For One More Suspicion and What Lies Beneath Air Force One.
