Michael Keaton (1951-) is an American Oscar nominated actor who has appeared in many box office hits over the last three decades. Keaton appeared in numerous television shows before getting his big break in Ron Howard’s 1982 Nightshift. After the success of Nightshift, Keaton appeared in numerous comedies like Mr. Mom, Gung Ho and his first blockbuster hit Beetlejuice.

After the success of Beetlejuice, Keaton moved to the world of Bruce Wayne and Batman. 1. Interesting facts about Keaton, to start with, his name! Douglas! How many Micheal Douglases can you have in the show biz! I like Keaton, the name and his acting….. I also think his best movie was the first Batman.

    1. Hey LaThing….glad you liked my Keaton page. This has been a very popular hub for me…and I think his being the first Batman has a lot to do with that…I appreciated the votes and for the comment…they are both greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi Cogerson !

I typed “top 10 Michael Keaton Movies” and your page came out on the first page !

Keaton is so underrated. What pisses me off is why Burton is not using him anymore ?

I know Tim has a man’s crush for Mr Depp but come on, he used Michael for Beetlejuice and his two batmans and then…Nada ! not even a cameo !

I’ve seen Jack Frost recently and it’s fine for kids (the ending is quite sad though).

What about MULTIPLICITY from HAROLD RAMIS ?

Nobody mentionned this one but I found him extremely hilarious on it .

Ramis just did Groundhog Day with Murray and it was a huge success and Multiplicity was his next project.

The movie got panned by the reviews and did not make a lot of money in theaters from what I remember (was released in 1996 if i m correct).

    Multiplicity = Keaton x 4

Was a great way to show his many different side (macho, feminine, dumb, sportsman).

    1. Hey AlexMoon. I am glad that you were able to find my Keaton movie page via your internet search. Great points you make about Keaton. Keaton dropped out the third Batman when Burton dropped out….so it would seem that Burton would have used Keaton again….maybe in the future that will happen. As for Multiplicity I agree with you 100%….and it is very surprising that it did not do better at the box office…I love the movie and I think it is one of Keaton’s best roles ever…..I have seen it numerous times and even had it on laserdisk. It finished ranked as Keaton’s 17th best movie according to my ranking system….right in the middle of all of his movies.

  3. I’ve never seen so many movie statistics. I’m not surprised Batman was his most profitable. It was quite the classic.

    1. Hey chrebet21…I try and put as many movie statistics into one line that is possible….I think his two Batman movies earn almost as much as the rest of all his movies put together…thanks for checking out my Keaton page.

  4. When I think big movie star, I don’t think ‘Michael Keaton’, but looking through the lilst of movies he played in, starred in, I could not pick a favorite. He truely is an under appreciated Star.

This is another great page to add to your many, many exceptional presentations.

    1. Hey mckbirdbks….his time as A-list star was pretty short….1988-1992…and after he left Bruce Wayne and Batman he has almost fallen off the radar. I have always liked him….I even went and saw Touch and Go at the theater…I am probably one of the 300 people that saw that one at the theater…lol. Thanks for the great compliment and for stopping by

  5. Michael Keaton….a funny, FUNNY guy. My two favorites, hands-down: Mr. Mom and Multiplicity! I could clearly see in the latter….that he is one hell of a great comedic actor, making it look so easy to play all those different roles and do it sooooo well. That sort of multi-role portrayal has always impressed me….as with Eddie Murphy and Tyler Perry….and COMEDY is my first choice anyway….Thanks Cogerson. Do you ever tire of hearing all the accolades and compliments?? Or is it more like “BRING IT ON???!!!!”

    1. Hey fpherj48….you are the first person to mention Multiplicity….which is a very underrated film…I thought it was going to be a big hit…and I am still surprised how poorly the movie did at the box office. But Keaton is outstanding in the 4 roles he gets to play. I never get tired of the accolades or comments…they are so much better than hearing crickets on my hubs….lol. Thanks for another visit….it is greatly appreciated.
