Hey Dan. Thanks for making out Mike Henry tribute page even more interesting. His connection to the Tarzan franchise will keep his movie legacy alive….even if those Tarzan movies are not nearly the best of those movies. Burt Reynolds gets the honors for most frequent Oracle co-star. 4 movies with Burt, three with Charlton Heston and two with John Wayne….not too bad for a former NFL player. 5 Oscar winning co-stars is low…but that is a pretty good group of 5. Good stuff as always. Rest in peace Mike Henry.
I have seen 4 Mike Henry movies.
My favourite movie is The Longest Yard.
I have also seen Spencer’s Mountain, Smokey and the Bandit and Skyjacked.
Rest in peace.
Hey Flora. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the late Mike Henry. Tally counts: Steve 11, Cogerson 9 and you at 4. I have seen his Top 9 UMR ranked movies. The Longest Yard would be my favorite Henry movie as well….with Smokey and the Bandit coming in a close second. Good stuff as always. RIP Mr. Henry
Sad news. I’d recently added photos of Mike Henry in my Edgar Rice Burroughs video.
I’ve seen 11 of the 19 films on the chart. Favorites are – The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit 1 & 2, Rio Lobo, Soylent Green and the Tarzan films.
Been ages since I watched Skyjacked, not even sure I have it in the collection.
RIP Mike Henry.
I think Ron Ely’s the only Tarzan still alive from the ‘old days’.
Good work Bruce. Vote Up!
Hey Steve
1. Thanks for the feedback.
2. I agree 100%….such sad news.
3. Good to know Ron Ely is still around…I was actually just wondering that as I was reading the comments for this page.
4. Tally count: You at the top with 11, me sitting at 9 and Flora with 4.
5. I was surprised he had made 3 movies with your favorite…Mr. Heston.
6. Shocked Skyjacked is not in your collection…..though that is a pretty average movie.
7. I have seen all of your favorites with the exception of his Tarzan movies…I have seen parts of at least one of his Tarzan movies…but have not seen one from start to finish.
8. Soylent Green is a cult classic….my mom Bern1960 still talks about the ending of that movie.
9. As for Mike Henry in that movie…I have a hard time remembering his part in that one….maybe it is time to re-watch that one.
10. Good stuff as always…and rest in peace Mr. Henry.
