Natalie Portman Movies

Want to know the best Natalie Portman movies?  How about the worst Natalie Portman movies?  Curious about Natalie Portman’s box office grosses or which Natalie Portman movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Natalie Portman movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences and which movie got the worst reviews? Well, you have come to the right place….because we have all of that information.

As I was trying to figure which actor/actress to do next for this movie page, my sixteen-year-old daughter asked me why I kept doing all those “old actors”. At this time, I found out that Tom Hanks, Nicolas Cage, and Bruce Willis are all “ancient”. So with my daughter’s approval, Natalie Portman was chosen as the next actress for the page.  Ever since Natalie Portman’s outstanding performance in Leon: The Professional, I have enjoyed following her career. Portman in The Professional, Christian Bale in Empire of the Sun, and Haley Joel Osment in The Sixth Sense are in my opinion the best three child performances in the last 30 years.

Her IMDb page shows over 60 acting credits since 1994. This page will rank Natalie Portman movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos, and movies that received limited North America releases were not included in the rankings.

  • Sort Natalie Portman movies by the co-stars of her movies.
  • Sort Natalie Portman movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Natalie Portman movies by yearly domestic box office rank

  1. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about V for Vendetta when I came out with my own top ten superhero films a while back. Thanks for reminding me about it, as I’ll have to update that hub when i get a chance. lol.

However, I do agree with you that “The Professional” is arguably her best movie if you ask me; even over “Black Swan.” Which is rather surprising, as i loved that movie too.

It kind of amazes me that it’s not ranked higher on this list, but then again, you are right in that it didn’t do as well in the box office, so I can see why. Anyway, keep up the good work, Bruce.

    1. Hey Stevennix2001…V for Vendetta is one of the better comic superhero movies out there….Portman really believed in the movie…enough to shave off her hair…that is going the extra mile for a movie. The Professional is still hanging out in her Top 10….but I think its status has greatly improved once it made it to DVD…as many more people saw the movie than when it was at theaters. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I loved Natalie in Leon (The Professional), she was incredible in that considering how young she was. Great movie too.

I’d recommend V for Vendetta if anyone hasn’t seen it, based on a comic book but don’t let that put you off it’s very well done and Nat is great in that too.

I’ve seen four new Portman films in the past year – Black Swan, No Strings Attached, Your Highness and Thor. She’s been busy. 🙂

Good movie page Conanson, a little shocked to see the Star Wars prequels rated so highly but they were popular. 🙂

  3. I loved Black Swan & Thor but I think Natalie’s best film has to be Black Swan, If I am not wrong she lost 30lbs dancing to prepare for that film, intense.

Nice Page – I voted this up and awesome, We could trade links from this page and my sexiest women page if you’d like!

    1. hanks for visiting my page manthy…I have linked your hub to this page… hope it brings some traffic but I most admit this is not one of my most popular pages. Thanks for the votes up and the comments.

  4. Where The Heart Is…one of my Top Ten favorite movies and Natalie was amazing! I felt every emotion her character displayed. Brothers, Garden State, No Strings Atached she was outstanding in all! Awesome actress!

    1. Hey Sunshine….I will have to watch Where The Heart Is…as I have yet to see the movie. But I agree Brothers and Garden State are outstanding….if you have not seen The Professional….you need to….here performance is awesome….especially considering she was only 12 or so at the time.

  5. A good movie page on a good actress. After watching Star Wars Phantom menece I seen Pirates of the Carrabian and thought Portman was the lead actress.

Later on heard that Knighley played princess Ardoma’s stand-in. The fake princess and personal bodyguard. It is funny how the Jedi master didn’t catch on to the deception. Sorry about the bad spelling.

    1. Hey ruffridyer…..I had the same confusion about Portman and Keira Knightly ….they could be sisters. That is a great piece of trivia about Knightly playing Portman’s decoy in Star Wars….thanks for the comments
