    1. Hey Dan. I have only seen 7 of her movies. All 6 Star Trek ones and Snow Dogs…which I barely remember. Her non Star Trek roles are not too impressive, but she worked steadily…which is what many thespians wish for. Rest in Peace to this trailblazing actress.

  1. Sad news. RIP Nichelle Nichols.

Only Shatner, Takei and Koenig are left from the original 7 Star Trek Legends.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Nichelle. She was a beautiful woman & played an admirable character that did so much for redefining social issues both here in the US & throughout the world. I will certainly miss her. Sending my love and condolences to her family.

I shall have more to say about the trailblazing, incomparable Nichelle Nichols, who shared the bridge with us as Lt. Uhura of the USS Enterprise, and who passed today at age 89. For today, my heart is heavy, my eyes shining like the stars you now rest among, my dearest friend.

    1. Hey Steve…..sad news indeed. Uhura joins Spock, Scotty and Bones. So many childhood memories of watching her Star Trek episodes over and over. Good tributes by Sulu and Kirk. Luckily all of these Trek cast members have had a very long life spans. I think Chekov is the youngest and he is 85. Rest in Peace.

  2. I have seen 9 Nichelle Nichols movies.

The HIGHEST rated movie I have seen is Star Trek II; The Wrath of Khan.

The highest rated movie I have NOT seen is Porgy and Bess.

The LOWEST rated movie I have seen is Made in Paris.

Besides the Star Trek movies, my favourites are Snow Dogs and Mister Buddwing.

I have also seen Made in Paris.

    1. Hey Flora…thanks for checking out our Nichelle Nichols tribute page. Tally count: Dan 13, Flora 9 and me at 7. I have also not seen Porgy and Bess. Mister Buddwing is one of the few James Garner movies of the 1960s that I have not seen but want to see. Rest in Peace Ms. Nichols.

  3. A leader in the advancement of minority women. Her contributions will never be forgotten.

    1. Hey Flora…..thanks for the heads up and link about Nichelle Nichols passing. July was a pretty brutal month for actors and actresses passing. Rest in Peace.
