RIP! One of my favorite movies is Junebug, and he plays a quiet man trying to deal with a difficult family around him. He’s not a major character, but he’s an important one, has some really good scenes where he keeps his mouth shut, looks uncomfortable, but is trying to do the right thing.
Hey Snepts. I liked Junebug too. That was Amy Adams’ breakout role. She even got a Oscar nomination for that one. I agree Wilson gave a very good performance too. Good breakdown on his performance in that one. RIP Mr. Scott Wilson.
Depressing news. I actually met him a few times at some comic con shows. Very down to earth and very very nice.
Hey Turner….that is awesome that you got the chance to meet him a few times. Good to know that he was “very down to earth and very very nice.” RIP.
He was a fine Southern gentleman. He like so many others was a favorite character on the walking dead; sad news!!!!!
Hey Country Road….I was always glad that The Walking Dead gave him some late career push. The man was a quality actor that had a career that lasted almost 60 years. Rest in Peace.
Back in my Judd Nelson fandom days….I was a huge supporter of Blue City. Even though Blue City was critically panned and is in fact a bad movie….my Judd fandom shielded me from that awful truth. Anyway….back then I watched Blue City all the time. Scott Wilson actually comes off best in that movie. Later I would realize his claim to fame was almost 20 years before Blue City…in In Cold Blood…..but it was Blue City that got me to notice him first. Later he would become one of my favorite roles on The Walking Dead. That show has not been the same since he left….and now even more sadder…he is no longer with us. Rest in Peace Mr. Scott Wilson.
FYI….please notice that Blue City is ranked 41st on this list…..so my personal biases are not part of the equation…lol.
A good actor. I also liked him in The Walking Dead. Have to say, that I have never seen Blue City. I did enjoy your story about Wilson in that one. Rest in peace.
Hey SteinHoF16…good to hear from you. Thanks for the nice words about the late Scott Wilson.
