UMR Review of Once Upon A Time In Venice (2017)

Just to acknowledge this fact. I am a huge Bruce Willis fan. It depresses me that this once A list actor has been appearing in so many horrible low budget movies for the last 3 to 4 years. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie.

Bruce Willis is actually in the movie for more than 3 or 4 scenes. His recent movies have almost seemed like extended cameos. In this one Bruce is in almost every single scene in the movie. Bruce does not looked bored in this one. Bruce and John Goodman seem to be having fun playing their roles in this one.

The plot is ok at best…..but watching Bruce trying again….was fun. Is the movie great? No…..is it good? Probably not. Is it fun? Yes it is. The most fun I have had watching a Bruce Willis movie since 2012’s Moonrise Kingdom and 2012’s Looper.

Final thought: If you like Bruce…you might enjoy this movie. If you are not a fan of Bruce….then you will probably be in the massive group of people that think this movie is horrible.
