UMR Review of Only The Valiant (1951)

This was the 38th Gregory Peck movie that I have seen. Apparently it was not one of his favorites. I liked it a lot more than he did. Movie does a good job of letting us get to know Peck and the soldiers he is commanding. The action is pretty good. The performances are fine. About the only thing I did not enjoy was the “happy ending” on the romance side of the story. That did not ring true to me at all. Peck fans will enjoy this one, as will fans of the western genre.  3.5 stars of 5.
