Want to know the best Orlando Bloom movies? How about the worst Orlando Bloom movies? Curious about Orlando Bloom’s box office grosses or which Orlando Bloom movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Orlando Bloom movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences? Well you have come to the right place….because we have all of that information.
Usually when I finish doing a movie page, I will tell my teenagers….”Hey check out the new page I just published”…..they usually respond with a…”Who is it this time?…..”interesting” …..”nice”……or my personal favorite…..”whatever”. Late last week, I told my 20 year old son that I had just published a Alfred Hitchcock page…..he slowly looked from up his iPad and said….”Dude why don’t you do a page with somebody that still has a pulse?” After receiving this constructive criticism, I asked my 19 year old daughter which actor would make a good movie page subject.
Orlando Bloom came to her mind almost immediately. Orlando Bloom might take some criticism for his acting style, but few would knock the movies he has appeared in over the years. One of his first roles was playing PFC. Todd Blackburn (the soldier that fell out of the helicopter) in 2001’s Black Hawk Down. He had his break-through roles, as the elf-prince Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and as blacksmith Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Probably the best Dual Iconic Roles since Harrison Ford played both Han Solo and Indiana Jones.
His IMDb page shows over 40 acting credits since 1994. This page will rank Orlando Bloom movies from Best to Worst in seven different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in theaters were not included in the rankings.
Bloom next took to the screen as Paris, the man who effectively started the Trojan War in 2004’s hit movie Troy co-starring Brad Pitt and Peter O’ Toole. In 2005, Bloom appeared in Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven, which did mild business at the box office, but has gained a following with the release of a Director’s Cut on DVD. Some critics consider the Director’s Cut to be one of the best movies of the 2000s. Since the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in 2007, Bloom stepped out of the Hollywood limelight. He started appearing on smaller projects like appearing on stage in London and appearing in supporting roles in small budget films. In 2013, Bloom, returned to the world of box office hits as he appeared as Legolas in the final two parts of The Hobbit trilogy.

Hi Buddy,
I don’t mind Orlando Bloom, he was ok in Troy, but I’m sure he will eventually bloom into a fine actor. I read the Hobbit and the lord of the rings about forty years ago and the movies were a big let down for me. Oh well, your kids were wrong, bring back the real actors like sir John Gielgud. Cheers
Hello attemptedhumour…. John Gielgud could be an intersting one to do….I like doing some of the older actors because I find out I really knew very little about them….thanks as always for stopping by and commenting.
Well not what I would consider two great actors, but I am sure to younger people this is the Paul Newman/Robert Redford of their time. Their movies are monster hits in franchise movies. I mean look the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Raiders of the Lost ark franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and Transformers franchise….when today’s teenagers are in their 40s these movies will be their classics and Orlando and Shia will be their classic actors. Voted up and useful.
Hey hinton1966..you could be correct…Bloom and LaBeouf will only grow in their stature as they and the current younger people get older….I am sure people that like Spencer Tracy and Humphrey Bogart probably thought Newman and Brando were weak actors as well……and I also agree the 4 franchises these two actors are involved in will only continue to move towards classic status….thanks for the comments
I totally agree with you (in the comment) about Kingdom of Heaven; the extended cut explains everything and makes the shorter version seem silly and confusing. Other than the Rings movies I think it’s Orlando’s best acting. I hated his role in Troy, what a worthless wimp!I mean I know that’s the character, but he played it so perfectly…
Wow KK Trainor….I would say that if I was responded to this hub, your comment would be pretty close to what I would have written. I agree Director’s Cut makes an average movie a good to great movie. His Paris in Troy was easily the worst part of the movie.
I’ve only ever liked Orlando as the elf Legless in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Kingdom of Heaven was much improved by the directors cut, I wasn’t impressed with the original cinema version. I bought it on blu-ray last year, an excellent film with one major flaw, a weak leading man.
Hey Steve….if the original version of Kingdom of Heaven was a 2 out of 4…..I think the Director’s cut makes it 3.5 to 4…..my wife who hates violent movies loves this movie….and regularly talks about the decision the queen makes about her son…which did not even make the original version…..the thing I always think about when watching Kingdom of Heaven is the fact that 800 years later and man is still fighting over the very same land
Too too funny Cogerson! I had to laugh because of your teen’s comment!
Hey RealHousewife….sometimes I am so proud of my son’s quick wit..that is when he is my son…..other times when he is just being difficult….then he is my wife’s son…..lol. As always thanks for commenting
