  1. Just heard he passed. Surprised you have a new Fonda page ready to go from your vacation. Liked him in supporting roles like Ghostrider, 3:10 to Yuma and Escape From L.A.. Nice tribute. Rest In Peace.

    1. Hey Taylor. I got a text from my mom when I was in Canada saying he had passed. Shocking news…as I had no idea he was ill. My second oldest son got this page done…proud of the man. I liked him in Ghostrider and 3:10 To Yuma. Escape From L.A. was a disappointment…but it was fun to see Peter Fonda show up in that movie. Good comment. RIP Peter Fonda.

  2. I remember years ago when I had my first VCR back in the mid 80’s I used to tape episodes of Naked City, and early 60’s series based on the 1948 movie and filmed in New York. I liked that back then because most series set in New York back then shot in Hollywood. On one of the episodes starring Jo Van Fleet (East of Eden) they introduced in the opening credits 2 actors. One was Peter Fonda and the other was Martin Sheen. I remember seeing episodes with Robert Redford running a Nazi party in the Bronx and another where James Dunn (1945 Oscar winner) and Robert Morse (Broadway star of sorts) were the big guest stars on the show but Dustin Hoffman was the murderer.

Peter was # 165 on the current Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list. These are the actors on the list he appeared with. Big shout out to the 56 year old film The Victors that gets him the most links.

    1. Hey Dan….thanks for sharing these massive Peter Fonda trivia lists. Hopefully some of his fans will get the chance to see how his career is linked to so many people. Good to see he was so highly rated on the Oracle list. I agree it is pretty awesome that The Victors has so many connections on the Oracle list. Good to see so many Fondas on the first and second list. 4 movies with Bridgit. I will have to see if I can find the baby Bridgit in Easy Rider the next time I watch Easy Rider. Easy Rider is like Streetcar Named Desire….classic movies that I keep re-watching hoping to catch the magic so many people see in the movies. Fondas make up 12% of his Oscar winning co-stars. Good feedback on our Peter Fonda tribute page.

    1. Hey Albert S. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Peter Fonda. I know exactly what you mean about re-watching Easy Rider. I could not watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid after Newman passed. It took almost 5 years to finally watch that one again. RIP.

  3. Thanks for making this impromptu Peter Fonda page for me, SoC2.

I have seen 10 Peter Fonda movies thanks to TCM. I have yet to see Ulee’s Gold for which he was nominated for Best Actor or Wanda Nevada in which he directed his father. Both are on my to-see list.

The most recent films I saw for the first time was a double feature of Outlaw Blues and Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry.

The HIGHEST ranked movie I have seen is Easy Rider.

The highest ranked film I have NOT seen is 3:10 to Yuma.

The LOWEST ranked movie I have seen is Love and a Colt .45 which I saw on Youtube. It co-starred Rory Cochrane of CSI Miami fame and Renee Zelwegger who were a couple at the time. Very quirky.

    Favourite Peter Fonda movies:

    Easy Rider
    Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
    Futureworld
    The Cannonball Run
    Outlaw Blues
Love and a Colt 45 despite its low ranking

Other Peter Fonda movies I have seen:

    The Wild Angels
    The Trip
Tammy and the Doctor – apparently Peter’s least favourite of his career
Lilith -depressing film about what NOT to do as a therapist in a mental institution

    Rest in peace Mr. Fonda

    1. Hey Flora….gotta give SoC2 lots of credit…he was able to put this together….one of the benefits of him watching the house in our absence….so good job Scotty….you might be able to take over running the website in the distant future.

Sad news about his passing. I know that you were a big fan of his. Sorry it took his passing to finally get this page completed. I have seen 20 of his movies….shocked that I beat your total. I have seen about half of the ones you have seen. The Wild Angels and The Trip are very very dated movies…as is Easy Rider in my opinion.

My favorites would include Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, Ghostrider (he was the best part of the movie…I was sad he did not appear in sequel), Ulee’s Gold and 3:10 To Yuma (remake of one of Glenn Ford’s classic movies). Good feedback. Rest in peace Peter Fonda.
