Television roles, uncredited roles and movies that were not released in North America were not included in the rankings.
Drivel part of the page: The good news? Every Ralph Bellamy movie from 1941 to 1990 is on the following table. The bad news? Between 1931 and 1940 Bellamy was a movie making machine. He made 67 movies or almost 7 movies a year for that time frame. We sadly were only able to find box office information on 27 of those movies. Yes were are also disappointed in our 60% fail rate. This page was requested by Cogerson Hall of Fame commenter Søren, a very very long time ago….sorry for the delay Søren.

Good video. Voted up and shared on our Ralph Bellamy page. https://www.ultimatemovierankings.com/ralph-bellamy-movies/
I have seen 14 of his movies…12 made your video. Favorites include his two Cary Grant movies, Trading Places, and Pretty Woman (that is one of WoC’s favorites). One of the great character actors. Good stuff.
Hi Bruce, your tally 12 of the 40 on the video, I’ve seen 12 too, Flora has seen 18.
Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche were great in Trading Places, a fun movie I should watch again. I also included their cameo in Coming to America.
Thanks again for the comment, vote and share, always appreciated.
As it was across her career Thins was not just 2nd billed invariably to male stars such as Gable/Bill Powell/Leach/Burt Reynolds/Clifton Webb/Paul Newman/Chuck/Chevalíer/Monty Clift/Rex Harrison/John Gavin but also to female stars such as Joanne Woodward/Jeanette MacDonald/Carole Lombard/my Doris/Jeanne Crain/Ann Harding/Marie Dressler/and Harlow. In Wife v Secretary Thins was 3rd billed to Gable and Lombard and in Libeled Lady she was 3rd billed to Harlow and Bill Powell. In Love Me Tonight Thins was 5th billed in a cast headed by Chevalier and MacDonald. Again CHECK IT OUT!
If you are going to take into account Thins’ entire CAREER box office consistencey would seem to dictate that you should also have some regard to the level of importance of her co-stars in ALL the movies comprised in that career box office and her billing and status in relation to those co-stars in those movies. Also you can’t for example logically give her the same credit for box office takings in the days before she became a star and those after her heyday when she was in effect a “has-been” as you do for the grosses DURING her heyday.
For me therefore to insist that Thins is “the greatest” because of the career total of her movies is as arbitrary as saying that in the 1940s Walter Brennan was greater than Wayne/Hope/Cooper/Bogie/Tracy/Garland/Leach because Walter’s total box office for that decade was greater than theirs – see Table of Box Office LEADERS [HIS title] on Bruce’s page for the Top Stars of the 1940s. Certainly Old Cantankerous would have debated the point with WH. Now Spence was a man who knew the importance of billing!
