The Golden Raspberry (Razzies®) awards are the brainchild of John J.B. Wilson. The Razzies® celebrate the worst that Hollywood has to offer for a given year. Wilson started the Razzies® back in 1980, and they have grown into a yearly fun event…..unless of course you are one of the nominees or the winners. The Razzies® follow in the tradition of the Medved brother’s Golden Turkey Awards and the Harvard Lampoon “Movie Worst” Awards.
This page looks at the winners or should I say loser of the Worst Picture of the year. All the Razzie® Winning Movies are listed in the following table. The table ranks 37 Razzie Winning Movies movies from Best to Worst in five different sortable columns of information.
Razzie Winning Movies Movies Can Be Ranked 5 Ways In This Table
The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.
- Sort by Razzie Winning Movies by the stars of his movies.
- Sort Razzie Winning Movies movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost.
- Sort Razzie Winning Movies movies how they were received by critics and audiences. 60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
- Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Razzie Winning Movies movie received.
- Sort Razzie Winning Movies movies by Ultimate Movie Rankings (UMR) Score. UMR Score puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.

Things I Find Interesting About The Razzie Winning Movies
1. Sandra Bullock actually proved what a good sport she was by picking up her Razzie® for All About Steve the night before she won her Oscar® for The Blindside. Halle Berry also picked up her Razzie® and gave a very funny acceptance speech.
2. Internet Movie Database (IMDb) actually lists Razzie® wins and nominations under the awards section for each actor and actress on their website.
3. Adam Sandler has been nominated for 20 Razzie® nominations over the years. He has won 5 Razzies®.
4. Sylvester Stallone has received 28 Razzie® nominations. Stallone has won 8 Razzies® in his career…..he also won Worst Actor of the decade and Worst Actor of the century Razzies®. One of his Razzies® was shared with James Cameron for their writing on Rambo: First Blood Part 2.
5. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were married from 1987 to 2000. During that time frame they managed to star in 4 movies that won Razzies® for Worst movie(Hudson Hawk, Striptease, Color of Night and Indecent Proposal). They also managed to make 5 other movies that were nominated for Worst movie(North, Nothing But Trouble, Bonfire of the Vanities, The Scarlett Letter and Armageddon). Being a big Bruce Willis fan…..it actually hurt to type this possibly interesting fact.
6. Another great source for really bad movies are the books written by Michael Medved and his brother Harry Medved. Those books look at many movies made before 1980 and are called The Fifty Worst Movies of All Time, The Golden Turkey Awards, and The Son of the Golden Turkey Awards.
If you do a comment….please ignore the email address and website section.
So Jack and Jill won this year, huh? That figures. But not great for Al Pacino’s resume. Did anyone show up for the awards?
Hey Flora….I think you can safely ignore the latest Adam Sandler movie and feel good about not missing anything….thanks for stopping by.
wow, I probably should’ve written a prediction page for the razzies, as i had a feeling “Jack & Jill” was going to end up winning most of it’s nominations. lol.
Hey Stevennix2001….thanks for the compliment and for stopping by. I think Adam Sandler might have set a record that will not be broken…unless of course they make Jack and Jill part 2.
Hiya Cogerson. I only saw one of the Top Ten. Surprised about Costner’s film, I liked it. oops. I’m curious now, so a visit to their website is in order.
Hey tsmog….thanks for checking in….sorry your Costner movie made the list.
Hey Bruce stop hogging the comments section… it aint right I tells ya… oh I see there was a backlog of comments to respond to… 😉
So, Jack & Jill one to avoid than, way past Battlefield Earth badness?
Did Twilight Breaking Down win anything? I’m still recovering… 😉
Hey Steve 6 weeks later….sorry but Twilight was not able to take away any Razzies from Jack and Jill.
Hi Bruce; I like the Razzies. I have a book with the whole history of the Razzies, with all the winners in all the categories, although it’s about five years out of date now. I hope they do an updated one.
I agree with pretty much every film on there. They were all pretty bad. Many of the actors have been good sports about showing up to recieve the award, but then again, what other field do people get awards for doing bad work? I guess there really is no such thing as bad press.
Fun movie page,
Rob
Hey Rob….that Razzie book sounds like a good book to have. I still have my Golden Turkey books from the late 1970s and early 1980s although I have lost my 50 Worst Films of all-time book. Plan Nine From Outer Space was voted the worst one in that book, while Richard Burton won Worst Actor of all-time as well……I hope you are correct that an updated book is coming soon. You are correct any press is good press….even with Sandler winning so many Razzies….it still gets people to talk about and probably watch Jack and Jill. Thanks for the visit.
