  1. I agree that it is so good that Robert Downey, Jr. got straightened out – Thought IRON MAN was very good, U S Marshalls was a good film also. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE GREAT INFORMATION…When I was growing up in Canada we could not go to the movies unless you were 16 years old…there was a terrible fire when small children and adults were in the movie theater and adults trampled children trying to get out of the theater…therefore the rul that you had to be 16…I HAVE MADE UP FOR THE MOVIES I HAVE MISSED SINCE THEN…

    1. I am sorry Bern1960 that Canada would not let you see movies until you turned 16….but I am glad you have made up for lost time

      1. Yeah – it was tough not getting into the movies back in Montreal until 16. I made up for it though by going to a double feature on the weekend – having lunch – and then going to another double feature – 4 (four) movies in all in one day…how about that!!! ARE THEY REALLY MAKING IRON MAN 3 ???

        1. Yes BERN1960 Iron Man 3 is coming as well as an Avenger movie that Downey will have a small part in as well…he will be playing Iron Man in that movie too

  2. I’ve never heard of Fur either. Downey was Oscar nominated for Chaplin nearly 20 years ago, wow. So effortlessly charismatic as Tony Stark in the two Iron Man films. I also enjoyed his hilarious ‘dude playing a black dude’ role in Tropic Thunder. A sequel to Sherlock Holmes will be out at xmas, looking forward to that.

    Thanks for another interesting page.

    1. Hey Steve…yep Chaplin was almost 20 years ago….time flies….I am also looking forward to the next Sherlock Holmes….if you have not checked out Kiss Kiss Bang Bang I think you will like that movie

      1. I loved Kiss Kiss Bang Bang… it’s not up there.. oh wait there it is at 25. 🙂

        Fun movie, great dialogue.

  3. Downey is one of the most versitile modern actors. I’m glad he got past his wild-boy, druggie phase and got his act together. He was amazing in “Chaplin”. And I think his performance as Tony Stark in “Iron Man” was the best acting job in a super-hero film ever.

    1. Hey Rob…..you are right when you say he is one of the most versatile actors…..I can only image how impressive his career will be in 20 more years….I have to say that I never got around to watching Chaplin….but it sounds like I should…thanks for reading box-office.
