Roger Moore (1927-2017) is an English actor. Moore became an international star when he played James Bond seven times between 1973 and 1985. His IMDb page shows 96 acting credits from 1945 to 2016. This page will rank 33 Roger Moore movies. Movies will be ranked from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in theaters in North America were not included in the rankings.
Drivel part of the page: Who is the best James Bond? Everybody has an opinion on that question. Pretty sure Sean Connery and Daniel Craig would top all poll results. I…. happen to be in the minority….as Sir Roger Moore has always been my favorite Bond. The first Bond movie I saw in theaters was Moore’s The Spy Who Loved Me…and it made a lasting impression on me. Over the years we have gotten some requests to give Mr. Moore his very own UMR page…..well Brando90, Flora & Tyler…the time is finally here.

Sad news to learn Roger Moore has passed away. But am pleased he had a long and very full life. I first knew of him as The Saint. Later of course there was Bond. But my own favorite performance of his was as the crusty cat-lover and woman-hater in Ffolks where he got to stretch his acting chops a bit.
Everything I have read about him is that he was also a fine man offscreen. RIP
Hey John….wow….he is the first Bond to pass away…not counting Niven in the original Casino Royale. My mom loved him in Fflokes too. Sad sad day.

Don’t forget Barry Nelson, the first Bond (on TV),
If not restricted to movie Bonds.
Hey John…..Niven’s Bond is almost always forgotten…Nelson’s Bond seems to be only known by Bond fans. But yes Mr. Nelson was the first to play Bond. 🙂
RIP Roger Moore.
Dead from cancer, aged 89. Sad news I grew up with those Bond movies. Moore was a true gentleman and very witty too. I’ve read some of his books.
I think I’ll watch The Spy Who Loved Me this week as a tribute.
Hey Steve….Well that stinks….came home for lunch and read you and John’s comment. Rest in Peace Sir Roger Moore. You were “my” James Bond growing up. You will be missed.
Nice Moore tribute.
