Ryan Gosling Movies

Ryan Gosling (1980-) is a Canadian actor, musician, and producer. He began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club. His IMDb page shows 42 acting credits from 1995 to 2017. This page will rank 23 Ryan Gosling movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in North American theaters were not included in the rankings.

Drivel Part: (That is what my wife calls this part of the page).  So son number two (in my best Charlie Chan voice) called me the other day and excitedly told me that he and his girlfriend had just seen The Nice Guys.    He told me that the movie was awesome and that I needed to see it soon.  As we were finishing that call he suggested that a Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling UMR page would be pretty timely,  Well if he had been paying attention to the this website better…he would have known that we already have a Crowe page…..but we did not have a Gosling page….well no more…..welcome to our Ryan Gosling Movie Ranking Page.

  1. Re: Cogerson talking about the age of my favourite actors. Ryan is a mere 4 years younger than I am – ie – my age.

    1. Very cool….close in age and Canadians. I almost included that his favorite movie of all-time was East of Eden….one of your favorites too?

      1. Oh yes, this is one of my favourites. I actually prefer it over Rebel Without a Cause, although Giant I my favourite James Dean movie.

  2. One of the great young actors. I really think he will be remembered like how Paul Newman is today. Good page on a great actor.

    1. Hey Stein…you might be 100% correct….I can see the comparison of him and Newman. Though he has a long way to go to catch Newman. More box office hits will start to help his case.

  3. Ryan Gosling, I have seen a few of his films, unlike your other recent page on Deanna Durbin.

The first time I saw him I think was as a villain in Murder by Numbers, he was trying to kill Sandra Bullock? Wasn’t a good movie from what I recall.

I’ve seen 6 of the 20 films listed – Drive (probably his best film), Crazy Stupid Love, Gangster Squad, The Ides of March, Murder by Numbers and The Big Short.

I’ve successfully managed to avoid mega-weepie The Notebook, even my ex didn’t seem interested in it when it came out, she would drag me out the house, kicking and screaming, to see something like Panic Room, Cabin Fever or The Grudge instead. 🙂

Remember the Titans no.1 on the UMR, didn’t see it, not a big sports movie fan as you know.

I am looking forward to seeing his latest film The Nice Guys, later this year on DVD.

    Good work Bruce. Voted Up!

    1. Hey Steve.
      1. This might be a record…of least amount of movies watched on back to back pages….as I do not think you have ever been lower than 6.
      2. Though I tied you with 0 with Durbin….I am at 15 of his movies. And I know I will soon be seeing #16 The Nice Guys.
      3. Tally count….me 15, you 6 and Flora with a surprising 5…..she almost caught you in a modern day star tally.
      4. Of the ones you have seen….I liked The Big Short, Ides of March and Crazy, Stupid Love….with the last one being my favorite Gosling movie.
      5. He plays one of the players on Titans….but it is a Denzel movie 100%…Gosling has a minor supporting role….but he is hard not to notice now that he is a big star.
      6. Thanks for the nice words and the vote up.

  4. My Canadian radar was working overdrive, Bruce and I tried to write a comment here before you finished the page.

I have seen two Ryan Gosling movies on the big screen.

One was the Big Short which was just last year.

The other was The Notebook which I absolutely adore and women agree with me. fabulous.

I have only seen 5 films so far, as well, I tend to watch older films.

Thanks to “Number 2 Son” for his request.

    🙂

    1. Hey Flora…thanks for checking out my modern page to counter the release of my classic classic page (Durbin). I have seen one of his movies on the big screen (like you I saw The Big Short in theaters) but I have seen 15 of his movies. I have even seen his strange directorial debut, Lost River (not on page). The Notebook is beloved by many many people. Scotty is still talking about how great The Nice Guys was….I might have to go to the theater to see it. Thanks for the visit.
