Sandra Bullock Movies

As we originally researched the numbers that determine the Ultimate Movie Rankings Score,we always have a personal favorite that we hope comes out on top of the list.  In this case our favorite Sandra Bullock (1964-) movie is Speed.  As we got near the end of our number finding adventure, we realized two things. First, we did not see how Speed would be able to hold off The Blindside for the number one spot.  All of that became irrelevant when made GravityGravity is not only her Top UMR movie but made our All-Time Top 250 Movie page.

The second thing we noticed is that seems critics generally seem to despise some of Sandra Bullock’s movies. Movies on RottenTomatoes are considered good movies if they reach 60% approval from critics across the country.  Here are some of the astonishingly low scores Sandra Bullock movies have received from critics over the years. Practical Magic 20%, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous 15%, In Love and War 12%, Two If By Sea 11%, Premonition 8%, All About Steve 6% and Speed 2 Cruise Control 2%. Luckily audiences like Sandra Bullock movies much more than the critics.

Sandra Bullock’s IMDb page shows over 59 acting credits since 1987.  In the table below, Ultimate Movie Rankings, ranks her movies in 6 different sortable columns.  Television roles, shorts and straight to DVD movies were not included in the rankings.

  1. Hello Cogerson, I still get a kick out of the profile pic. Kudos for sure, while smiling this is a recent pick for your vault of wealth. A fav of mine is ‘The net’ and ‘Miss Congeniality’ I will always watch if it pops up on the menu. She definitely is in my Top Ten female gender actors. The Net and The Bourne Series dance together both flowing with a heated pace while building plot. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and leading me to that discovery between those two – notes made.

  2. I own a couple of Sandra Bullocks films on DVD (Cogerson gasps).

Speed and Demolition Man, and very enjoyable they are too.

I can’t believe Blind Side has knocked Speed down to second place on the moviescore, it ain’t right I tells ya.

But Speed 2 was awful, down there with Jaws the Revenge.

I watched A Time to Kill a few weeks ago, it hasn’t dated well and it’s too manipulative.

Looking at your list I’ve seen… oh jeez, 11 of Bullock’s films.

    1. @Steve…..only 11 Bullock movies…I thought you were a movie buff…..lol. As always thanks for your comment.

  3. My hubby is a bit sweet on Sandra Bullock, which niggles me!! but she was terrific in Speed, one of my favourite movies and The Blind Side, but she has been in some awful ones as well.

  4. She went to the Razzle award to pick it up? That shows real class. I like it when stars don’t take themselves too serious.

Gun Shy is a comedy with no funny parts? I have seen alot, too many, comedies with that problem.

Speed was alot of fun but the story was pretty farfeached. The bus could have drove down l.a. freeway for miles without reaching 50 mph. haha.
