1. Hi Bruce, after posting a comment recently a Captcha came up asking me to enter a word, I did but the post didn’t go straight to the page as I was hoping. So what was the point of the captcha?

3. HI STEVE

   1 I’m using just an ordinary office computer that my daughter passed on to me from her works office. Naturally out of respect for Flora’s privacy I destroy her details and do not commit them to memory. At the moment Helakoski’s details are being substituted for mine and I’ve just wiped them.

   2 Well if the spammers ARE targeting me bring them on! I’ve mentioned the long list of posts of mine that have been ignored over the past year on this site so attention from ANY quarter is most welcome. Wonder what they think of the substance and quality of my posts and comments in general though – do you feel that I should ask them?

   3 As I’ve said whilst they have kept inserting your NAME for mine they don’t seem to have your E Mail address but that’s maybe to be expected as probably the only source that has that apart from WH is the Estate of the Late Charlton Heston.

   1. 🙂 Hi Bob, I was only kidding about the spammers targeting you, but it is strange you’re getting those mixups at the UMR. At least your private emails aren’t affected. That would have been worse.

      I wonder if this post will go straight to the page… testing testing

         1. Bob, I replied to both your Cary Grant posts. Will just to have to wait till someone at the UMR spots them in the spam folder and let’s them go to their original destination.

            These delays are getting tedious. I’m never sure if my posts made the journey to UMR land and I have to make copies of them just in case.

   But will this comment appear straight away or will I have to wait till tomorrow to see it? I’ve already lost track of previous posts and replies to posts.

      ! I’m afraid you’re wrong.. Not only are my comments still disappearing today but Flora’s name and E Mail; address are once more being substituted for my own in the Name and E Mail boxes at the foot of each of page by that “unseen hand” that I was telling you about so that I have had to wipe her details and restore my own before sending posts, which as said then don’t immediately go through.

      2 The good news for you at least is that for today the spammers have stopped substituting my name for YOUR name though maybe that’s because there are only so many time that even they can look at THAT name !!! Your friend RAM 2

         1. Bob, how are you getting Flora’s email address at the UMR? That’s a strange phenomenon. Are you using a laptop or desktop PC? I don’t see spam anymore but comments are still delayed. Maybe the spammers have targeted you too? [cue Bob slapping his cheeks] 😉

5. Testing…. Testing… 1…2…3…. Hi Bruce, I wonder if Spam Busters has a ‘whitelist’ box which lets you enter the names of people that are allowed to comment on the site?

   This is just a test comment to see if goes straight to the page.

   1. Hey Steve….we downloaded Spam Busters…..and it is at work….yet I (WoC has not looked) can not find it’s settings. Currently it seems a few real comments are being stopped….one by you yesterday….and one each by Phil and Bob today/late last night. I think I can handle that…..especially if I can can access to the website from my iPhone. This weekend is a “relax and do nothing” weekend…..hopefully so resolution is coming.

         1. Hey Steve….that seems to be the issue with Spam Busters….that there is a delay getting the comments to the forum and top 5 most recent sections of the page……we will continue to try and tweak their settings.
