I saw 7. the top 4 and the bottom 3. no favourites, no 10s, no hidden gems. I heard his number 1 hit song ,Young Love, from 1957. it topped billboards hot 100 chart for 6 weeks. thank you Tab.
Hey bob cox…you have me beat….I am at 6. I liked Track of the Cat and Battle Cry the most. Good to know his Young Love topped the charts for so long. RIP Mr. Hunter.
Rest in Peace Tab Hunter. So sorry to hear of his passing.
I never saw a lot of his films. I have seen 4 of them. Damn Yankees has always been one of my favourite musicals.
The other films I have seen in order of preference are:
The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean
Battle Cry
They Came to Cordova
Hey Flora. Thanks for checking out our Tab tribute page. I have seen 6 of the movies….to your 4 and bob cox’s 7. I have seen 3 of the 4 you have seen…..only missing Damn Yankees….but it is a musical…..not a genre I watch too often. I will have to check it out soon. Good feedback. Thoughts and prayers to his friends, family and fans.
My regrets.
Hey Connie…..my regrets too.
My late mother loved Tab Hunter…she used to swoon over his ’50s films. Damn Yankees and Battle Cry are ones she liked the most. As a kid I always got him mixed up with the guy from The Caine Mutiny.
Hey Sharon S……good to know our moms liked the same person. Good point about the young actor in The Caine Mutiny……that was Robert Francis. Francis passed away in 1955…..and does look like Hunter. Thanks for checking out our Tab Hunter tribute.
Thanks. He really was in a lot of interesting films. I love TRACK OF THE CAT and GUNMAN’S WALK. And recently I watched him in SATURDAY ISLAND.
I also enjoy Track of the Cat and Gunman’s Walk. Yea, I know that many find Track of the Cat to be one of Mitchum’s not-so-good-films, but Hunter gives one of his best performance and there is Teresa Wright, plus some beautiful photography \ scenery. Yea, it might be 15 minutes too long but for me it was well worth seeing.
Track of the Cat might be Mitchum’s most beautiful movie ever made…..the locations are amazing! Downer of an ending damper some people’s thoughts about the movie….but I loved it.
