Ok…I am NOT a fan of musicals….so now that is out of the way….boy did I NOT like this movie. Most of the songs are ok. The comedy falls flat. Most of the characters are unlikeable. The movie beats the viewer over the head with all the social injustices in the world. Nicole Kidman is wasted in the movie. I did not buy Meryl Streep in her role at all. On the positive side James Corden is actually pretty good in the movie. Jo Ellen Pellman shines the brightest of this cast of stars. Final thought: Better than Cats but is that really saying anything?
