  1. I was a big Tim Burton fan back in the 90s but his most recent films have not been that great IMO.

I’ve seen all the films listed here and own all of them on DVD & Blu-ray except Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and Big Eyes.

My favorites are Beetlejuice, Batman, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow and Nightmare Before Christmas.

I know it’s blasphemy to say this but I prefer Tim Burton’s two Batman films to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Burton’s neo-gothic style suited Batman perfectly and reminds me of the old comics I used to read.

I also enjoy listening to the soundtracks to his films, nearly all composed by the great Danny Elfman, all except Ed Wood, Sweeney Todd and Burton’s upcoming new film.

    Nice work Bruce. Voted Up!

    1. Hey Steve

      2. Tally count….18 for you and me….8 for Flora…not thinking we hit 100% very often….but we both did it here.
      3. Own tally count 16 for you…we own 11….yet none are in heavy rotation at the house….Big Fish is the one I watch the most…..the kids go for Frankenweenie.
      4. I need to get the kids to experience Beetlejuice…..the joy of having kids so far out…I keep getting to share good movies to a new generation.
      5. Well the UMR Score really liked both Burton Batman movies….I recently rewatched Batman….but have not seen Batman Returns in a few years….probably time to revisit that one.
      6. Elfman and Burton have made a great team….actually surprised Elfman is not doing the music for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children…that seems like a perfect movie for Elfman music.
Appreciate you taking the time to check this one out.

  2. Never been much of a fan of Tim Burton, but I do agree with previous comments that he has a very unusual style movie. Even though I am a huge fan I have to say that I have seen almost every movie listed here.

    1. Hey Geoffrey….I think many people think the same way….they might not count themselves as fans…but almost all of his movies are “event” ones….so people go and see the movie. His style is very easy to spot. Thanks for checking out our Burton page.

  3. I have seen 8 of his movies.

Top of my to-see list is The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  4. Love his movies and love this page. Burton’s picture have the most amazing look. You can watch one of his movies and within 10 minutes you will see the Burton touch. Sadly it seems his career is slowing down. But I hope it bounces back. My favorite Burton movie without a doubt is Ed Wood.

    1. Hey Stein….thanks for checking out our latest. I agree with you 100% his movies have a great look. I think his career is just fine….I think he is producing the 2nd Alice movie….and his Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children looks very promising. I enjoyed Ed Wood too….but it is not my favorite that would be Sleepy Hollow. We appreciate the comment.
