  1. Tom Hanks? ugh! I’m kidding, I liked Hanks in films like The Burbs, Splash and Joe vs the Volcano not so much when he became a respected award winning actor. Of his newer films I only really liked Saving Private Ryan.

If I had to pick one favourite Hanks movie it would be The Burbs. I watched it many times back in the vhs days. Jerry Goldsmith’s music score is ace.

    1. Hey Steve, so you like the funny Tom Hanks of the 80s versus the serious Tom Hanks of the 90s on….I can understand that…it is probably one of the reasons Larry Crowne has not performed well…after 30 thirty years people are not looking for the comedy from old guys like Hanks. I actually saw The Burbs twice at the theater….earlier I commented I think The Burbs would have been better if they noisy neighbors blew up the house of a innocent family….just because they were different….but no we had to have the Hollywood ending…thanks for commenting….I know this one was painful for you to do….but I have added U.S. in front of all the box office numbers.

  2. Hey a great piece of information on my favorite actor, what a top ten list, and League of their Own, and CAtch Me if you Can did not even make it. Awesome I am sending this link to my favorite forum. Thanks for posting this information on Hanks.

    1. Thanks Tom Hanks lover, I appreciate you commenting on my movie page. And I appreciate you forwarding my page to another forum…..I feel that this page has lots of great information for Tom Hanks fans and Tom Hanks fanatics….I have about 200 movie pages as well….just go to my profile page(Cogerson) and you will see them listed.

  3. Very nicely done, Tom Hanks has been a star ever since I was born, it is sad to see him looking older, but time goes on. My favorites would be Forrest Gump and The Terminal, with Catch Me If You Can being a close third, thanks for the “face lift”, I will check out your Julia Roberts “face lift” soon.

    1. I am glad you like the facelift…I figure I will do a facelift when a star has a new movie open….especially when the pages were written so long ago. Glad to see someone give The Terminal some love….probably one of the few Spielberg movies people do not talk much about….thanks for reading and commenting.

  4. Wilson! Wilson! I was so sad when Wilson floated away in Cast Away!

The Green Mile is one of my Top Ten favorite movies! Superb acting by the entire cast!

    BIG…so much fun!!!

A masterpiece page for a masterful actor! Well done cogerson!!! Pulse on!!! 🙂

    1. Hey Sunshine…the demise of Wilson still brings tears to my eyes…Hanks did such a great job of acting in that movie. You are so correct about The Green Mile cast….not a single actor appears miscast…it is the first movie were I first noticed Sam Rockwell….Michael Duncan Clark was perfect as John Coffey(at Bruce Willis’s suggestion). Tom Hanks, David Morse, Gary Sinese..the list goes on and on. And yes Mr. Hanks who just celebrated his 55th birthday…still has a pulse..thanks for stopping by and checking out my page

  5. Forest Gump was a dissappointment for me. I think the hype was a problem. I was expecting too much. I don’t avoid it, but I don’t actively seek it out either.

    1. Thanks for explaining Flora, I can respect that opinion very much….I remember the girl I was dating at the time of the movie’s release had the same let down from all the hype. We left the theater and I was like…”that was great”….and she was only offering…”it was ok…I would not want to watch it again”.
