  1. What I like about Tom Hanks is the fact he grew so much as an actor. His earlier movies he was such a whinny guy I wanted to slap him. But as time wore on his movie roles got better. Did his talent improve or did he just get better roles? Maybe a combination of both.

    1. Hey ruffridyer….I think it is a combination of talent improvement, and his choice of movie roles got better as well….I think when the script for Bachelor Party landed on his desk…he was thrilled the producers wanted him in the movie….the same script 30 years later would not even make it to Tom Hanks’ desk. Thanks for your comments.

  2. I think that Tom Hanks is a very good actor – Catch Me If You Can was a delightful surprise – I enjoyed it very much along many others.

    1. Hey BERN1960 I am glad you liked Catch Me If You Can so much….I agree it is a very good movie. I am glad you liked the update….it was a long time coming.

  3. Very nicely done Cogerson, you have picked out one of the best actors out there, I have enjoyed watching him go from his comedies to serious actor, I bet he has some outstanding supporting parts as he gets older.

    1. Hey ShaunBroncoMan…..thanks for the comments and the compliment. I can see him moving to supporting roles very easily….maybe like the way Michael Caine has done it.

  4. I thought I knew quite alot of information on Hanks, but I did not know 4 of your interesting facts, I am impressed that you found that many that I did not know, Hanks in the Lincoln family tree, pretty cool.

    1. Great comments, I think Hanks pretty much only makes quality movies….I can take your comment and KellyE’s comment and make Tom Hanks The King of Quality and Hollywood. As for my old Tom Hanks page, I had to unpublish to avoid a duplicate tag on the new page…so sorry no direct comparison but you can look at Brad Pitt’s page and get an idea what it used to look like. Before I delete the old page….I was going to paste the comments for the original to this new one.

  5. When I think of Tom Hanks, the word that comes to my mind is quality. I just saw Larry Crowne, and other than Julia Roberts in a pretty developed part, I loved it. Hanks should direct more movies. Very nicely done, is your old page available for comparsion?
