Top 10 Steve McQueen Movies

Just finished publishing a Top 10 Steve McQueen Movies You Tube video.  Publishing a You Tube video is not really something new for us…as we have done a few videos over the last year or so.  The fact that we finally figured out how to make a video while using actually movie scenes versus still shots from the movie….is the big news….at least in our little part of the world.

So…since we are so happy with our latest video…we thought we would share the video here…..mainly because our website gets considerable more traffic than our You Tube video channel.  We have included three videos on this page.  The first video is called “Top 10 Steve McQueen Movies“.  The second video is called “Give Harrison Ford His Damn Oscar Already“.  We like this video….but it shows how our videos used to be.  Still photos with copy free music.  The third video is called “Our First You Tube Video: It Can Only Get Better“.  Our little girls love making videos on the computer…for months they have been requesting for us to make a You Tube video, using their many videos they have made.  So a few days ago, we sat down and taught ourselves how to edit videos on our computer.  The video is essential a Cogerson home video…but it was a great learning activity….and even includes a few cameos by me….Cogerson.

Our first You Tube video using real Steve McQueen movie clips.

We did this video the day the Honorary Oscar® winners were announced and once again…Mr. Harrison Ford was not on the list of winners.

This video was our guinea pig.  It is our little girls at their silliest…but it was a great way to learn about video editing and lots of other stuff.

  1. He left early caused by a disease that I see in TV ads everyday: Mesophilioma, from espestos in his auto helmets.

    1. That is the Steve McQueen movie I watch almost once a year. In my mathematical ranking formula….it did get to #6.

  2. Love Steve McQueeen.
Great video. I have tried several times to watch The Sand Pepples, but the violence level is one that I have yet to get through it.

    Cheers, Flora

    1. Hey Flora…..glad you liked my McQueen video. My video editing skills are a work in progress….hopefully they will get better. I have seen The Sand Pebbles once. It is a very long movie and not too exciting….but McQueen is pretty good in the movie….though I give Papillon the edge as McQueen’s best performance. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Nice clip Bruce. Sand Pebbles got me hooked years ago and remains one of my favorites. Can’t say enough about how this movie effected me. Tom Horn also. A different Mcqueen but the same. More comfortable with himself it seems but the same defiance and oneness. It makes sense to me anyway. lol

    1. Hey Stephen…..sadly I think The Sand Pebbles has been somewhat forgotten when you get people to name famous McQueen movies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that movie. As for Tom Horn….I really enjoyed that movie more on a repeat viewing. Sadly that is one of the last McQueen movies.

  4. Nice work Bruce. All these clips have got me in the mood to watch some Steve McQueen films. The Sand Pebbles no.1? I’m not a huge fan I would have preferred The Towering Inferno or The Great Escape at the top, oh well. I saw Bullitt at the cinema in a re-release during the 70’s, probably still contains the most famous car chase in movies. The Towering Inferno is the only other McQueen film I saw on the big screen, I’ve watched it many times since. Voted Up.

    1. Hey Steve….thanks for checking out my latest video. The Sand Pebbles was a hit, loved by critics and audiences, got 8 Oscar nominations…including a Best Picture….but the think that got it the Top Spot was the only Oscar nomination for McQueen. I do not think I saw a single movie of McQueen’s on the big screen. I know what you mean about getting in a McQueen watching mood…as I just saw his The Great St. Louis Bank Robbery. That is not good….it was like McQueen was doing a bad James Dean imiatation. As always thanks for the compliment.
