My ten year old begged to see this movie. I liked the television show growing up. I thought the two live action movies were fun. So I thought this would be a good time. Well….boy was I disappointed. This movie is boring! This movie fails to capture the charm of the Addams Family! This movie has a dreadful story line involving a house selling reality star. You know a movie is in trouble…when the best parts of the movie are (a) the theme song and (b) joy in the fact that the movie is so short….credits start rolling about the 80 minute mark. Final thought: A serious misfire!
So far….this is easily the worst movie I have seen in 2019. A talented cast is wasted in this pointless doper movie. I like Matthew McCongauhey a lot….but this is a painful movie to watch. Maybe you have to be stoned to enjoy it. Since I was not stoned….I thought this one SUCKED!
Movie is filmed in a beautiful location. Too bad the movie has a really really dumb plot. Some pretty average acting and some of the worst gun fight scenes I have ever seen. Saw this because Richard Dreyfuss was in the movie….not one of his better efforts. Final thought: Skip this one.
I enjoyed the last Godzilla movie with Bryan Cranston. I was entertained by the King Kong story in this shared universe. But I thought this was horrible. I did not buy the story at all. The CGI is fine….but after countless battles of CGI…I grew bored with it. Movie lacks star wattage. Could not find anybody to root for…ok….I was rooting for CGI Godzilla. The twists and turns in the movie were just dumb. The attempted humor failed to land. In short…this one has a great chance to make my worst movies seen in 2019 list. Final thought: Skip this one.
A remake of Caine/Martin’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which was actually a remake of Brando/Niven’s Bedtime Stores. This one is brutally bad. I did not find much humor in this one, as the producers of the movie made bad choice after bad choice. Rebel Wilson was miscast in the Steve Martin/Marlon Brando role. Anne Hathaway does better, but that is not saying much. One of the biggest laughs in Scoundrels revolved around Martin’s inability to walk. Here they misfired when they picked Wilson’s handicap to be sight. Final thought: Could be a strong candidate to make my Top 10 Worst Movies of 2019.
A new spin on Tom Hanks classic Big. In this one, a mean successful lady goes back to being little. This is a mean spirited movie. Gone is all the joy from Big and it is replaced with people that love to put everybody done. The humor does not work. Final thought: Skip this one, and watch Big again.
One part Rambo, one part Taken and one part Home Alone. Stallone as Rambo is always fun, but you can tell in this one they have run out of ideas. Movie is very gory at times. Hopefully this is the last Rambo movie. Final thought: Those that do not require any story with their action will probably like this one…as for me it was a pretty weak chapter of the Rambo franchise.
Many people have Replicas as the worst movie of 2019. Turns out they were correct. The first hour is actually not too bad. The last 30 minutes are brutally bad. Once the movie shifts into thriller/action mode the movie falls completely apart. Final thought: This one is for Keanu Reeves fans only.
About the best thing I can say about this movie is that I am glad the cast and crew had such an awesome looking location to make a movie. Movie looks very beautiful. That would be great if this was a commercial for tourism. However, this is a failed attempt at a modern day film noir movie that simply does not work. A stellar cast is wasted. Somewhere in this mess is a good movie…..but life is too short to spend time looking for it. Final thought: Even my low expectations were not met.
The Mel Gibson hit movie, What Women Want, gets a reboot. This time out it is a woman that can read the minds of men. The woman is played by Taraji P. Henson. Henson tries real hard to make this movie work, but her efforts do not pay off. This one tries to be funny, but it only occasionally actually does anything funny. Mel’s version concentrated on his job which involved the love interest and his daughter. This one involves a separate love story, a group of friends for our heroine, a bachelorette party, a wedding, the heroine’s father, a superstar basketball player and his dad, her co-workers and her job. It is just too much for one movie. Movie should have gotten rid of some of the plot and concentrated on making the smaller plot better. Final thought: Did not enjoy this one at all.

No one of these films came in France until now..or I don’t know…and when I watch the posters, I don’t understand, most of the time it is ugly or incomprehensible , Without real star of to day
Just Has Been like Reeves, Stallone and Hathaway.
Where are you classic movie stars as Cooper, Gable, Wayne , Bogart and Dietrich Davis Monroe and Hepburn ….
What is funny now is I watch more Tv Série than movie and the last is the Crown about the story of E II R
Very good for beautiful English language but no movie place and big screen!!!!
By the way …don’t forget it ….That the Cinema…..a screen ans a theater…

I used to rank the worst but I can’t remember 1 bad horror film from the next anymore and to be honest can’t be bothered. These are the 2019’s I gave 1 star out of 4 or 2/10 or 1/10 on the IMDB.. 1 film got a 1/2 star and there is a zero so by default they would be the 2 worst flics of 2019.

I don’t know how you would see them on the IMDB. The IMDB currently shows I rated 20,586 items and this includes lots of shorts and TV episodes. Most films seen by me before 2007 are not there. The lists I put up here on older films are ones that I have seen since 1992 when I saw film 8000 in my life. I never rate them in that file, they’re all on index cards for that. I put current pictures into anotherfile separated by cinemas seen in or seen on DVD.

Hey Bob Cox. Not sure Dean uses letterbox but he should. That is a website I love. Granted keeping up with all the reviews is a pain in the butt but it’s recordkeeping skills always impress me. One day I will figure out a way to get those reviews on this website.
Hey Dan. As usual your movie totals far outweigh me. Thanks for sharing all the movies you did not really like. You have a few on your list that I liked but not many. I agree with you about the horror movies, at the end of the year they’re hard to separate in one’s memory. I did see some list that had ready or not as a top 10 movie,I kind of like that one as well. Overall I think 2019 was a good year for movies, even though you have mini movies on your bad list, as always thanks for sharing your movie knowledge.
Happy new year. I have seen eight of these movies. The only two I have not seen are the wolf one and serenity. I agree the beach bomb was dreadful. It was indeed hard to watch. Stallone’s Rambo was just gory. The only one I kind of liked was The Addams Family. Sorry for my absence it’s been a rough year, my mother got sick and eventually passed away dealing with this being the first Christmas without her. 2020 will be better and I will try to be more active here.

Rambo Last Blood was not too bad. I agree with you on the remakes. Little, What Men Want and The Hustle were god awful.
