  1. The previous chart was the UMR top 100 and this is the critics 100, okay, one more chart page left, the top 100 box office but it’s too early for Star Wars Episode IX total grosses.

There are 30 films on the chart I haven’t seen, so 70 watched out of 100 not too bad. Any favorites here? Nope.

I’m kidding… favorites include – Mad Max 4, Star Wars 7, Skyfall, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Martian, Avengers Endgame, Logan, Gravity, Looper, Inception and plenty more.

Another Pixar film at no.1? Inside Out… not a favorite of mine but I do own a copy.

I haven’t seen Boyhood or Whiplash, but I’ve read about them.

Are all 9 Best Picture Oscar winners on the chart? What was the best rated of 2019? Let me check the chart… The Irishman… interesting, followed by Parasite. Ahem…where’s Cats on the list? 😉

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve…I have seen 96 of the Top 100…including two of them in the last two days…as I watched The Irishman and Marriage Story. I have not seen Joker, Parasite, Two Days, One Night or Portrait of a Lady On Fire. I want to see Joker and Parasite….the other two are not high on my list of movies to watch.

That box office table is now out…I included Star Wars….because it will eventually make the table…heck in another week it will be there. For this table…. I think 1917 has a great chance to make the list as well…reviews and general audience thoughts are just coming out now.

Good list of favorites….glad to see Looper on your favorites list….the last great Bruce Willis movie? It is beginning to look that way. Boyhood was ok…Whiplash is good….but it is J.K. Simmons that makes the movie memorable.

I too, was shocked when Cats did not get a spot on the table….hopefully Dogs will do better on the 2020-2029 page. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Anonymous…..that surprised me as well…both Paddington movies got great reviews from the professional critics and general audiences….I guess walking and talking stuff bears are liked by everybody. Good stuff.
