  1. Hi Bob, how’s everyone? Are you okay? Still in lockdown? I’ve had a nice refreshing break from posting comments on the internet and now I’m back. [cue hissing]

Thanks for reviewing my Uma Thurman video, the generous rating, info and trivia are much appreciated. Happy you liked the posters and stills.

I was surprised too that Bruce doesn’t have an Uma page, Pulp Fiction is one of his favorite films. Could it be because Mr. Willis is in it I wonder? I’m sure it helped. ?

Uma Thurman has Tarantino to thank for her career, first for picking her as the female lead of Pulp Fiction which made her world famous and secondly after starring in two stinkers in a row – Batman & Robin (as Poison Ivy) and The Avengers (as Emma Peel) – QT came to the rescue with Kill Bill 1 & 2, which contained another iconic role for Uma, probably her best.

One film scored 10 out of 10 from my sources – Pulp Fiction. Four films scored 9 out of 10 – Baron Munchausen, Dangerous Liaisons and Kill Bill 1 & 2.

Pulp Fiction tops the charts at IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.

“I’m enjoying getting older because I feel I didn’t appreciate being pretty when I was younger. I felt terrible. When I was 10, someone told me I had an ugly smile, so I spent the whole of my younger years feeling embarrassed and never smiling with my mouth open. But what are you going to do? I was too tall, odd, funny looking, I was just really weird as a kid.”

    1. Hey Steve. I agree her biggest and most known roles were all under the directing hand of QT. I actually did not like Kill Bill 1. I liked Kill Bill 2 more. Good quote from Uma.

I am surprised WH doesn’t seem to have done a Thurman page as he likes Tarantino and in Pulp Fiction Quentin gave us sexy Una at her sexiest though as said I never liked the filn itself

  4. HI STEVE – Welcome back.

1/I have never liked Pulp Fiction and can’t recall if I have seen either of the Kill Bill movies so my fave Thurman performances to date have been in Dangerous Liaisons/Final Analysis/Paycheck/Jennifer 8/and Batman & Robin – back nearly quarter century ago when I could tolerate the superhero movies.

2/On top of her film career Uma has been in 8 TV productions from 2000-2019; and 2 stage plays – 1999’s Misanthrope and Parisian Woman from 2017-2018.

3/IMDB credits her with 27 acting awards and 67 noms; and she has a reported net worth assessed in 2015 as $45 million [equivalent to around $48 million today]. In an IMDB poll of the 50 sexiest actresses of recent times [though they list only 48] she is ranked 28th.

4/Uma is currently filming the television thriller series “Suspicion”; and she has at pre-production stage a sci-fi action movie “Tau Ceti Four” co-starring Travis Fimmel whoever he is – ever heard of him?

  5. HI BRUCE

    That was quick!

All I need do is transfer my exchanges with Steve today about Uma – which I will do at once.

    1. Hey Bob…I was actually trying to figure out a current star to do a page on….and then Steve’s YouTube video popped up. Thanks for doing the transfer to this page.
