Our UMR Movie Review of Yesterday

Why I saw this one? Loved the trailer and loved the idea for the movie.

What is this one about? A struggling musician realizes he’s the only person on Earth who can remember The Beatles after waking up in an alternate timeline where they never existed.

My thoughts on this one? I liked this movie, but, it did not really blow me away. The story is awesome, and it throws in some very interesting twists and turns (especially in the final sections of the movie). The music is of course amazing…I mean….it is Beatles songs. The drawbacks? The love story is not too original or impressive. That has been done many times before and many times better. Movie brings up some awesome thought provoking questions….but then does nothing with those thoughts. Final thought: Glad I saw this movie….movie has enough good to say you should check it out. My wife on the other hand…loved it. So….looks like we have a good date movie.
